Well I enjoyed the episode.
We knew that there were Grimm inside the cellars but still I enjoyed the horror.
Otherwise there is problem with Qrow,I feel he is going to be effected very big soon enough.He has became annoying but hope he changes it.
Also liked how it was explained that the villagers died.They weren't killed but so slept that they lost their lives.
Also the old woman having Silver eyes,hope the backstory and the true potential of the Silver eyes are revealed.

TBH I have mixed feelings about the show addressing qrow's drinking problem. Before it was just a punchline and it was fine. But now that it is an actual plot point it has to be addressed and sufficiently at that. It'd be nice if qrow from this point onward gives it up. As if it was enough of a shock to make him at least try to quit. I don't suppose we are getting over this without an emotional intervention though.

Why the fuck Maria choose to follow RWBY and Co. and not evacuate with others..

Except she decided to follow them before hearing Jinn story she turned around in the train and goes in the opposite direction to evacuation just to end up with heroes.

She didn't follow them because of Ruby SE <<< " Ruby what colour are your eyes? "
There's no reason why would she turn around on the train so far and I get feeling that Maria only turn around because " Ruby needs development in SE so we will have this character end up with heroes just so "

Oh snap, that Maria flashback with the Nevermore grimm has dem volume 1 feels to it. A bit short (i hope there is more in the actual episode) but really awesome.

Ok, saw the episode.
The grimm reaper... turns out the old lady has a cool past. For the time being she is more a plot device than a character though. I guess she will be here for a while. I am guessing the one who had her chased down was at least related to salem. also, you'd think ozpin would have recognized her sooner.
I cal bs on noone calling out qrow on being worthless.
Also, what the hell is up with cinder's plan? "Help me get to atlas.help me find her.And the rest is up to you.". First of all, thats not even a strategy, let alone a plan. Second, what exactly does neo need cinder for in this "plan"? Cinder does not do shit here. also, cinder is clearly going to be murdered by salem.
As for the episode... there were more bits that were remiscent of earlier seasons, which was nice. We saw jaune's sister but... what a colossal waste of time. Jaune's sister didn't really add to the story at all, she is not even a plot device. I suppose her wife might be relevant later? I kinda get the impression that the only way this stuff pays off is if someone in that family gets brutally eaten by grim. Anyways, it would have been far more interesting to see the military turning them down. And I straight up refuse to believe qrow would have an iota of trouble getting the military to help him. Unless for some reason he can't communicate with james which would be the lamest plot device ever.
