Ok, those two assholes just HAVE to be robots lol. As penny was. I just can't imagine anything else being the case. It'd be a plot hole if they were this coordinate and not robots tbh.

Also, looking at their reaction... I used to think weiss should be able to get them easy access to atlas but I am beginning to think the situation might be more complicated than that. Weiss escaped and also got past a blockade. Technically weiss is a criminal.

It does seem likely that it is winter that will be stationed there though. but if that is the case they are going to have to give her reasons to contact ironwood so that they get the preferential treatment they need.

Im happy that JNPR reacted to Ozpin.Rwby wasn’t really given the same treatment. Yang and Qrow got angry, Ruby asked the question everyone should have asked and Blake and Weiss just existed. With that said I’m starting to hate everyone but him. It’s not that he’s right for lying to his confidants. They have every right to be angry about that. It’s that they’re treating him like he’s a monster or a criminal. Ozpin has spent lifetimes fighting for humanity. He’s basically dedicated his soul to it. He’s brought peace to remnant, for a time at least. No one acknowledges it. I can’t stand the way their treating him. He should’ve let Salem destroy them or refused to stop Salem and redeem humanity. He’d probably be better off that way. For them to treat him the way are is like ignoring all he’s done. They’re making it seem like he had them fight for nothing when In reality it’s practically the same mission. Stop Salem. They’re not wrong for being upset. They are wrong for the way they’ve basically vilified Oz and their complete and utter lack of understanding.

I am confused regarding the silver eyes. This episode suggests they work on grim only however back at beacon we saw ruby use the eyes against the gigantic grim and also cinder. And cinder was maimed apparently by the light. And that was before cinder had a grim arm. Unless she was part grim even before she got them grim arm? I think the silver eyes work on more than just grim, they work on things which are genuinely evil.

Another bit, nice detail regarding the silver eyes and the god of light. I do kinda fault the animation there though, in the episode it isn't entirely clear that the god of light in his dragon form has silver eyes.

Here is a crackpot theory: We know both magic and grim came from the god of light. And one bit that caught my attention on re watching episodes is that when the god of darkness was attacked he gathered all magic attacks and their combined color was dark, the same as the god of darkness. So... magic in itself is darkness. And the silver eyes counter it. I suppose this would mean silver eyes can potentially maim salem herself, being part grim and a user of magic. in which case the silver eyes can potentially affect her. If she is turned to stone she wouldn't die but wouldn't be a threat anymore. Heck, the silver eyes might even be able to revert her grim transformation.

I have mixed feelings about this episode. Sorry if I sound like a Qrow-hater recently, but he has become a useless prick and it really annoys the hell out of me. Did he seriously let those two crackbrained guards brush him off so easily? The Qrow I know would break through anything in front of him by force. And then he disappears like a butthurt kid who got his candy stolen. I don't understand him, he doesn't care for anything. God, I wish Tai was there to clobber this guy to a pulp like Kaneki did to Ayato in Tokyo Ghoul. By the way, are there no other ways to contact Ironwood?

And wow, this Caroline b* just pulled the nazi card and all Yang and Weiss could come up with is a slightly angered stare while all others silently swallowed such insult? Okay... This group is in need of a proper leader, right now there is none.

I have nothing to say to Oz (I just assume he took control over Oscar). If he ran away he is beyond remedy, if he is trying to do something good on his own without telling anyone then he is just being stupid. Stop this madness already and be a team for once.

I enjoyed the bit with Maria, but it didn't really move us forward. Meh episode.

TBH I wouldn't have expected qrow to pick a fight with the guards. Qrow doesn't seem like the type to start fights at least. Take a look at his situation with winter a while back. He didn't start the fight, he merely provoked winter. And then,what would the fight have accomplished? It doesn't seem like beating the help out of the nazi lady would be a sound plan. That said, what does bother me is that in the current situation there really is no way for qrow to contact james. Sure, he can't just call given the state of the beacon tower but come on, they were together at beacon. Have some means, any means, to contact each other.

The nazi bit did annoy me, they could have said more. But then again, play the wrong cards and they can get arrested.

It feels like the bit with maria was a bit too easy. As in, there is no real trick to the silver eyes.... And it feels like they went that way due to not knowing how else to fit a training arc around the silver eyes into the show. Which is almost a shame considering the entire previous episode was mostly a waste.

My assumption was that oscar ran away to try and contact oz. And also to not get decked by more people twice his size. He should be somewhat afraid that ozpin might make this into one of his alcoholic lives.

I am not sure its fair to compare weiss to the woman this chapter (forgot her name). Weiss never specifically showed contempt against faunist due to them being faunist. In her bubble at the time she simply saw faunist as people who stole her stuff and was more focused on sun having committed an actual crime. While weiss generalization was bad at the time, it is contextually different from what happened this episode.

I thought she used used a grim glove to take the powers. When did she show a grim inside her at the time?

Honestly this entire seasons feels like it’s not moving forward. The pacing has been slug slow. I feel like there’s been no progress since the Ozma reveal.

Yes, I agree. It's a precarious situation they currently have. But standing up for something/someone doesn't equal to insulting or picking up a fight with your counterpart. I just believe they all could say more to Caroline.

I actually think they handled Blake well there (I wouldn't blame her if she had acted differently though). Under such circumstances and as the person who was verbally targeted, it's only the reasonable choice to restrain yourself, which Blake did. They are not holding an anti-racism campaign after all. Blake - as a Faunus - taking a stand against racism right there has a much higher chance to set off a poweder keg.

TBH I wouldn't have expected qrow to pick a fight with the guards. Qrow doesn't seem like the type to start fights at least. Take a look at his situation with winter a while back. Semantics. Provocation can be considered the start of a fight just as well as the first physical combat move, especially if said provocation was done intentionally and with the awareness that it could lead to a physical fight. I'm not saying this as the case with Winter though.

As for what the fight would have accomplished? Hmh, not really sure, seems like I didn't think it fully through when I wrote my post. Qrow's uselessness clouds my mind it seems. However, Qrow causing a ruckus and (intentionally) letting himself get arrested would definitely reach the ears of Ironwood and lead to an audience with him, no?

The town these guys are at must really suck if the best statue they could put in the middle of one of their parks was phyrra's, whose greatest accomplishment was to be on a cereal box that's really bad for you. On the other hand oscar's harem seems well trained at least.

So oscar just went shopping? What an asshole, if he wasn't having an existential crisis the least he could have done is leave a text.

I think Qrow is starting to come back to his senses, thank god we don't have to endure this miserable and unbearable state of his anymore. I actually hoped Yang and/or Ruby would beat the shit out of him for that to happen, but I'm more than fine with Ruby's talk not jutsu as long as it does get us Qrow back.

In any case, compared to Jaune's plan, I consider my idea that Qrow should cause a small ruckus and let himself get captured in order to establish contact with Ironwood waayyyyyyyyyyy better.

While I do think it was a sweet scene, I have to agree with you here. Seems like they didn't set the bar very high to hand out memorials. Pretty sure Raven would get her own monument for most caring mother too if she had been a citizen of said town.
