From what I've seen in v18 & v19, there is progression, but I won't go into detail unless you want me to. I mean, yeah, you're right, but there is slight progression in 18-19.

The relationship part starts so damn late, if ever. I'm glad to hear that they make progress in the later volumes but v19 sounds sooo far away

It's not like they are now an official couple, aren't they. I don't see any real progression in their relationship. It is approximately the same described in arcs centered on them. Once again it may be more explicit with the text.

I hope Saru doesn't end up like Onizuka from GTO I dont mind if he remains a virgin at the end of the mang as long as he hooks up with Ritsuko at the end. I will be happy with a kiss between them. Looking at the raws it seems Ritsuko is starting to feel something for Saru while Saru seems to be too thick headed to understand or his head is always too full of screwing around just like Onizuka. I think Ritsuko and Saru makes a great couple. BTW does anyone know when this manga is scheduled to reach its end?

As long as it works, I think it will continue and there is no planning of the end. I don't want to have any high expectation about the outcome of the romance. Generally, Mangaka do not want to conclude this kind of thing.
