Perhaps he intentionally got karin pregnant to mix uchiha and uzimaki bloodlines. Perhaps like minato, sasuke was aware of some impending danger to the world and sarada will awaken a "new power" to stop it given her ancestry. And also perhaps sakura was reluctantly in on it the whole time.
