Ooh interesting. Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me (or I'm having trouble matching katakana to existing romanizations in my current tired state), there are new/different names going on in the cast picture. I saw Sasha, Jean, Mikasa, Eren, Armin, Hange, but who's "Hiana" (Historia?) or "Souda," among others...
Anyway, alternate names (or universe...?) aside, the trailer was incredible. Looks like a rare exception to my usual rule of avoiding movies made from long-running manga series.

A manga which is finally easing my pain of not getting my dose of HxH. Since I didn't see any hangout thread, I am gonna ask here a few questions which are not strictly related to the chapter but have been bothering me for a while: a titan can turn into human (basically become a shifter) after eating a human who is a shifter. But that shifter had to eat another shifter to become a shifter in the first place. So how did the first shifter came into being? If there were only titans and humans at the beginning, then it would not have been possible to be a shifter from either way. Secondly the number of shifters should be limited at all time, since a shifter can only come into being by eating another. Is that the case?
I don't think these questions are difficult to solve, from a writing perspective. The first titan shifters are going to be a special case. What manner of special case? We have no way of knowing yet. I expect as we continue to learn more about titans and eventually see the real history of the people inside and outside the walls uncovered, we'll find that out... which is why I can't wait for them to get to that basement.
Not all.. It's just that Isayama "forgets" to mention what happened with X when we get to the next scene. The two MP recruits who were kinda important for awhile and was with team Levi when they went to the cave just disappeared I think, at least I don't remember them after? The MPs they tortured, did he ever mention what happened to them or did they just disappear when they weren't needed in the story? It's like he is leaving the readers guessing what the characters did now and then. Did they kill them, leave them to starve or something else?
In some of those cases, time has passed and I think it's easy to infer what happened. Torture candidates would obviously be imprisoned. I think we even saw some discussion about that at the end of the bit with Sannes, while they bluffed with Ralph (or whatever his name was). The imprisonment terms probably weren't lies. Hitch and Marlo were shown above ground, just last chapter. They've never fought titans so they wouldn't have been able to keep up with the others and neither would any other new recruits. Even the Garrison guys there were helpless, and weren't in on the plan. Anybody else probably did slip Isayama's mind, but I haven't noticed anything that affects the integrity of the story as a whole. Rather, I think the continuity errors he's occasionally made in his drawing in the past (which his editors also didn't catch for some reason) are much worse.
