So now we know Annie also has abs like Mikasa XD. Well considering that their BMI is almost the same(Mikasa=23.5, Annie=23.1), that's really no surprise.

There are actually full scans available out there for the first guidebook(no translation). Although I have to tell you, it's quite boring, I guess. The only thing I think is interesting is their stats. The info is pretty outdated too considering the guidebook was made before Reiner and Bert's revelation. Plus I heard there were lots of wrong info in it too like that false Eren x Annie hint and how Nanaba was said to have first appeared during volume 8 but she/he actually appeared before that.

To be honest, there are still doubts surrounding the appropriateness of her graduating in 10th place. Indeed, judging from her grades she is 10th. But surely there must be other trainees who have produced better results than her. That said, since she took 10th place, I would like her to work hard.


But yes to Yumpo's comment. Databooks aren't usually reliable even if they call it official lol... And they don't tend to give you extra information outside of the series anyway Having said that I've always been a sucker for them since a kid haha.

Yaoi Day is real. The number 801 is pronounced just like yaoi is pronounced (8-ya, 0-oh, 1-ie, "yaoi"), hence why the famous webcomic "Tonari 801 Chan" is about a yaoi fangirl. How August 1st got to be Yaoi Day I'm not sure about, but its definitely real and you can google it for articles.

Coincidentally last Saturday was Episode 22 as well as the decision day for 2020 Olympics, and there was this Japanese video site which allows you to comment on the video. When they got to the bit where Scouting Legion returns and the civilians complain to Erwin about wasting tax money for no gain, there were comments blasting across the screen relating this scene to 2020 Tokyo too haha, if you get what I mean. Harsh :P

Also, I think Gesumin comes from here, I'm not sure, but it's quite a new term I think... This is the official 4koma (4-panel) for Ep17, to which the fans make up the term:

I've been seeing Gesumin for awhile now in some Japanese boards(is it "forums"? XD) before Isayama posted that pic XD. And I think Hange just got lowered in my fav list....I'm a clean freak as well...but not the same level as Levi. XD (Hange, you don't take a bath for days!?!? T^T)

Can't wait for the full scans. I wanna see RBA's and what opinion should I make about them after reading them scans. XDD

Also, this guidebook seems better than the first one. XD

Yeah the thing with guidebooks is, well this is a generalisation from my end but, usually the 1st guidebook talks about the general setting of the manga, and general events, and those annoying simplistic assumptions that we already know and know beyond already... 2nd guidebook is the most interesting with all the revealing of character settings and all that yummy goodness, 3rd guidebook would be 'expansion' of the 1st guidebook but in reality it's more like correction to those assumptions made in the 1st one XD

As much as I want to buy these guidebooks, they tend to get out of print that fast...T^T. I wish Kodansha brings them over here. But according to their blog, I think they said they've never done guidebooks before. T^T
