Has my sig violated the rules?
I just realised about the max 5 images per sig, so does my sig contain more than 5 images, or is it considered having 2 images in which seperate parts appear consecutively?

Your current sig doesn't violate any rules :)

It's a single image, 500px width and 102px height, 328kb in size :) Nothing violates the guidelines :amuse

Just to clarify, the rules are the guidelines. If you have a sig that over the size for example, but still reasonable, (for example 500px times 180px), it is still acceptable :)

Would it be okay if I had a picture that's taller than that? It's because I can't cut the pic, but making it samll would make it look bad. I made the file size much smaller, so it fits, but I can't get it to fit the max height. Do I have to take it off? My other signature wasn't within the limits eighter, but nobody ever said a thing, evne thought that one could be made smaller easily. Can I keep this one as it is? It's not huge nor anything.... But I'm still asking for permission, so if you say no then I'll have to make something new. I cut the lower part to make it samller, but it still doesn't fit.

Hey Ellychan, your sig is really nice, but it is almost half size taller than the 170 ht, so you really have to resize it, or change to alternative ones. ;)

Okay, I'm making a new one now, then. Thanks. I'lll remove this one as soon as the other one is done, but don't worry,e vne thought it's there, I won't make any posts. I'm making the new sig right now. I'lll make it 170 pixels high like it says on the guidelines so I'll have no problems now.

EDIT: There, 170px high ^^ Sorry for the trouble and thanks for answering.

Umm.. My sig picture doesnt work for some reason. Ever since the site moved to Bulletin I wasn't able to see the pictures I upload to my siggie :'(.
The sig is a .jpg, 500X83 pixels (of course 500 pixels wide), but it just won't upload.
Any suggestions?

Where did you upload it? Through the UserCP? Or through imagehosters and paste the code in your sig?

I uploaded it through my UserCP, both from "Upload it from your own comp", or "Post a URL". Both failed to work.
BTW bax, I never got the chance to thank you: Some time ago, you had a really really cool siggie of Peace Maker Kurogane, which made me watch the show, and I really liked it. =D So thanks.. :s

Can you post the image here? I'll put it into your sig. Want it centered or anything?

And about that, no problems ^^ it's good that you like it :)

That should do it for now :)
I'll check why you can't do it through the usercp

Hey ctk3, it's almost a borderline case, and prefabably not as it may affect the loading speed for modem users. Maybe you want to reduce something in that design? ;)

Yes, like Nami said, better not. But if you really can't do anything, I can consider 508kb as acceptable. But yeah, try not to. 500kb is already big ^^

One way is try to resize it just a bit. Resizing the width or height 10px lesser will solve your problem.

Actually, if you "save as" in adobe imageready, you can most probably reduce the file size further. A little bit of quality deterioration doesn't hurt at all because they are barely noticeable most of the time. =D Or you can even reduce the lag between the frames to reduce the file size.

Anyway, since bax is fine with it, I'm not going to push it hard on you. Good sig. though. It has been a long time since I last made anything animated with imageready. *feels edgy*
