Skinless Titans

Reiner, Annie, Bert, + all the colossal titans appear skinless. Thoughts on why its like that?

Titans get really, really hot. The shifter titans have so much power and must let off even more steam. Having skin might literally boil them alive.

They do have skin, it's just translucent, you can tell by the way their insides aren't hanging out all over the place.
