Welp, sure? I mean, we hardly have any facts on this issue. And talent in this story is fixed and no amount of hard work can change that. In that sense the only ambiguity we have is that SIU hasn't actually stated who is the more talented of the two.
Remember our endless discussions about Karaka being a high Ranker or not? Back then, it didn't matter what kind of argument i (or others) made. You said he is NO High Ranker. You even said that when he was imprisoned in a high ranker prsion. Your main argument was that Siu never officially said it. All his feats and the things pointing to him being a high ranker did not matter to you.
Now we have a situation where Siu NEVER said that Yuri is more talented than Karaka, but he DID say (via Yuri) that Karaka will eventually catch up to her.
Yet here you are, arguing that Yuri is so much more talent and stuff. So, you seem to contradict your own logic, just so it fits your believes. As such, it doesn't make any sense for me to discuss this any further.

Roughly... IIRC my points were that karaka was almost certainly not a high ranker;
1.- karaka was in fact introduced as a ranker.
2.- you don't just reach a particular PL and automatically become a high ranker. Rather you do shit and some folk in an office assign you a rank. Basically, even the actual capacity to match a high ranker in combat does not automatically make you a high ranker.
3.- We don't know when karaka became a high ranker, it could have easily been through the story.
It wasn't until months or years later that someone in zahard's army actually mentioned karaka was a high ranker. Basically up to that point there was not a shred of evidence in the entirety of the series and the lore that the ranking administration had given karaka a rank within the high ranker threshold. Feel free to provide it of course.
Correction, my position is that yuri probably is significantly more talented than karaka, not that she in fact is more talented than karaka. Because yuri has her genetic lottery where she excels at pretty much everything and her BS strong body. Yuri said karaka could become her greatest threat. That's not really the same as her acknowledging their talents are comparable. While talent is fixed in this series, there is still a lot of room for shenanigans (spells, hyper specific counters, circumstances...).
Kallavan shouldn't be counted as he was just an ordinary and slightly talented ranker when he became one; he wasn't even a highranker befor absorbing the EoB
Kallavan shouldn't be counted as he was just an ordinary and slightly talented ranker when he became one; he wasn't even a highranker befor absorbing the EoB
Kallavan already had his strong body before he acquired the EoB and even managed to impress jinsung. Kallavan is someone who should be counted among the bullshit level of talent people and then some considering he is relatively young.

Yuri needed 100 years to become a HR once she became a Rankers and Jinsung was very surprised when he saw Kall' having so much power despite being a baby Ranker.
Based on these facts, age was probably the main factor why Kall' was so weak in their first encounter.
I’m currently re-reading TOG..Karaka is introduced as The Newest Slayer who’s growing rapidly. & as a Ranker…..
Not to throw the discussion but to answer the threads question..I’ll say this. Regular’s Rank are specific to how high they have climbed the Tower FRank Floor 1-19 E20-35 D35-50 Etc
It’s not a rank for how strong that regular is.
Given the fact that some regulars take years to climb the tower, & are exceptionally talented because of their Lineage TGF or Branches. They’ll climb the tower with more than average support in most cases. So by the time someone becomes a Ranker; It’s easy to see how they can run through the rank quickly through share talent…& become a high ranker.
Definitely becoming a famous Ranker &/ or High Ranker isn’t easy. Regulars who are exceptional & have family ties, should already have limited info, equip Etc that only Rankers can obtain. Once they become Rankers they should already be better than most Rankers.
Could you post a link to that plz?
Or was it one of those things like Shibisu& Khun observing the battle number 1 between Yuri & Karaka? I remember Shibisu saying something like "so that's how a fight between real Rankers looks like" (although at least Yuri was already known to be a High Ranker at that time).
It’s sometime during the work shop battle; It’s mentioned Jinsung Ha is under BaM’s protection in FUG; Not even the Slayers or Elders would dare go against him. Karaka is soon after introduced as a Ranker, I believe when Jinsung Ha visits him to warn him from meddling with Bam….Either way it’s on TOG wikis page
Karaka was never introduced as just a Ranker nor does it make sens, unless he was living in a cave and only became a Slayer in s2 before the ranking bureau knew about his power and new position but this is unlikely.
like a lot of stuff that isn't accurate (any more) or wasn't explicitely stated.
Like the one dog being a high ranker (while struggling against a Ranker and winning because of Khun's fish).
Edit: so i just looked up two chapters. The first one where Karaka was introduced for the first time (where he tells Jinsung that he doesn't trust him)
and then the chapter when he warns him. It's not stated. You can check for yourself if you like to
What do you desire? Money and wealth? Honor and pride? Authority and power? Revenge? Or something that transcends them all? Whatever you desire—it's here.

Ok so I’m not the person who started this debate with you. After this post I’m not going to rebutal you because, I personally don’t care..
Workshop Battle it is stated that FUG has Rankers on the Floating Ship. When Madadro(sp?) is introduced he’s introduced as a high ranker. So every other high ranker in S2.
The faction that was going against Bam was lead by multiple Rankers, Slayers, Elders in FUG; Whom still didn’t want to or can’t oppose Jinsung Ha directly because he’s a OG.
Karaka is the newest Slayer, whom just attained Ranker; Who is growing very fast. Jinsung Ha warns him Bam will grow faster…
Karaka is introduced as a High ranker in
S3,after quite some time in the story has passed. He’s still growing. During S1 Karaka is most likely an advanced Ranker: He did pretty well to hold up against Yuri Jahad a Top 500 High Ranker; So him attaining High Ranker status in S3 makes sense
Before you postet this, the last post to that subject was around a month old. The discussion was already over. You brought it back and said he actually WAS introduced as a Ranker. I asked you to prove it with a link, which you couldn't do.
Now you tell me you don't care?
Then just move on.

Gustang wasn't introduced as a high Ranker. Yes, it should be obvious that a head is a HR, like it should be obvious that a slayer is at least a HR.
Madoraco? You mean the guy that fled from Karaka? but was all too happy to join against Hansung?
We know that this kind of titles can influence your rank, like Evankhell not being in the top 100 anymore, because she isn't the floor ruler any longer.
So, if Karaka was an advanced Ranker at the time, his advanced title should be part because of his Slayer position. Meaning his power wasn't even at the advanced Ranker level, but he was able to nullify almost all of a top 500 Rankers attacks? Sorry, but that does make Yuri (&Evan) look like a joke.
Next time they have problems to deal with guys like Leero Ro?
S3? Quite some time? How long was it since Bam first went into the tower? 20 years? 30? that's nothing in tower standards.
Karaka was never introduced as a Ranker, or as a high Ranker. He was introduced as a Slayer.
Like Jinsung wasn't introduced as a top 100 high Ranker. Only later on was it revealed, like with Karaka.
Probably because SIU realized how many are looking down on Karaka.
I think Yuri and Karaka are essentially each others' foil, probably growing at similar paces. They have butted heads several times, and may yet again. Both have an advanced pedigree, are roughly equal in power, and have been described as growing at rates that unheard of (irregulars and Adoris of the tower notwithstanding). Maybe at any point in time one is stronger that the other, but that is a moving target and subject to change. Both are expected to be stupid powerful when fully-matured. And in describing their ranks both have been said to be quickly ascending, therefor not stagnant. We are seeing both at a similar snapshot in tower time, and they don't seem to be too far off.
Yuri and her journey being pretty straightforward and chronicled pretty easily enough. Karaka with the possibility of being very old/some type of clone (but made WHEN?) being the wildcard. However, if he's very old, such as has been suggested of his contemporary, Wangnan, how could he be growing at such a fast pace - the implication being he'd already be matured. I think there's more to the nature of the clones/princes that they may have been in suspended animation and something kicked them out of hibernation - or otherwise spurred their development. Wangnan has sat around pretty shittily for a long period, barely scraping by and not being able to beat 20F as a regular. But, things have started to change for him. They (Wangnan, Karaka, et al) could be like cicadas - very old babies.

So to say, it's the Zahard blood in both fueling their ridiculous growth, particularly for non-irregular tower inhabitants (although partially formed from irregular DNA, each).
They should both be 500 +/- a few, rapidly heading towards the top 100 when fully-matured. And the gradients in the top ranks are just as extreme (if not more so) than 500 is to 100. IMO, but that's what the story seems to show.
