The "real mecha epic" will center around a boy named Ao who "set 'destiny' in motion again when he held the 'power.'" Artist Yūichi Katō is drawing the manga based on the original story by the anime studio BONES.

Shining Hearts

During Bushiroad's 2011 Strategy Presentation, it was announced that Shining Hearts would indeed be getting an TV anime adaptation. The series will air in the Spring of 2012 and will be animated by Production I.G. As in the game, Rick will be voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya and Amil will be voiced by Kanae Itou. However, Neris will be voiced by Mai Aizawa and Airy will be voiced by Shiori Mikami.

Dusk maiden of Amnesia

The January issue of Square Enix's Monthly Gangan Joker magazine is announcing on Thursday that a television anime adaptation of Maybe's Dusk maiden of Amnesia (Tasogare Otome×Amnesia) manga has been green-lit for next spring. The story is set at a private academy that has a history of hauntings by spirits, including a ghost girl named Yūko. For some mysterious reason, first-year middle school student Teiichi Niiya is the only person who can see Yūko. Yūko has no memory of her death, much less who or what caused it. Yūko and Teiichi create an investigation club to find the truth about her death and the other mysteries of the school.

The anime based on Kitsune Tennouji's manga about anthropomorphized gun girls at school, Upotte!!, will stream live on Nico Nico Douga beginning in April, ahead of any other yet to be announced broadcast. The official website was also updated with character bios and staff info.

The combined 4th/5th issue of Kodansha's Morning magazine is announcing that a television anime adaptation of Chūya Koyama's Uchū Kyōdai (Space Bros.) manga has been green-lit for an April 2012 premiere. The story follows two brothers, Mutta and Hibito, who made a vow as kids to travel to space. The younger brother Hibito did become an astronaut, but not Mutta. However, Mutta's life changes one fateful day.

The story revolves around Yūki Kagami, a boy who enrolls in the academy of his dreams as a honors student — and is mistakenly put in the girls' dormitory where boys are prohibited. Faced with the possibility of having to leave the school, Yūki has to dress up as a girl in the dormitory. On top of things, he ends up rooming with the female teacher Ayana Kakinozaka, who has to watch over him. Hiromitsu Kanazawa is writing, storyboarding, and directing the anime at the studio GoHands. Takayuki Uchida is designing the characters, and Funta is composing the music.
