Would you be interested in translating " Ace of Diamond"? It's one of the best

manga I've read. I think it's as good as Bleach and Naruto except that it's a baseball manga.

It's in the league of Eyeshield 21 and Hanimo Ippo. It won an award Shogakukan Manga

Award proving it's an excellent manga. Previous winners of this award are Bleach, Fullmetal

Alchemist, Inuyasha, Kekkaishi, Slam Dunk, Yuyu Hakusho, among others.
Unfortunately, it's not that popular since it's not being scanlated regularly. It's popular in

Japan but is virtually unknown in the internet. Anyway, I was hoping you help translate it coz

the current Edited Manga group have their hands full with other series. It's only been scanlated

up to chapter 23 (first chapter in volume4) but I was able to find HQ raws online upto volume

12, and I think there are more recent volumes available though I haven't checked that far yet.

You'll notice that the raws doesn’t require cleaning/leveling, just translation and typesetting.

I hope you or your group will be interested in this manga. You can take over it or just

Wanna try Editing nube or at least help... If you are still interested that is. I don't mind doing translations and I say my japanese is quite good... (except for the fact that I'm a total lazybum on the vocab but nothing that a good dictionary cant fix)

P.S. never done this before... ^.^ but interested. I'm also a busy person.

I want to get back to it but sort of a tad sidetracked with all my other series. I was thinking of getting back once Otokojuku was done (trying to fast-track it)...but if someone can't wait, they can go ahead.

Ah that works. Yeah they can do that...and I just hope they can hold out until the series restarts sooner or later. (as I said: once Otokojuku is done)

Thanks for that, a few things:

1. I know I should be speeding Ta-chan along but unfortunately I can't control how I do my translations. I'm almost done vol. 2 and vol. 3 is prepped to go once I finish it. (and the sooner I get through these weird comedy chapters, we can get to Shin...what we've all been waiitng for)
2. Kinnikuman is a fun series though I can't control what's been going on with it as of late (what with all the chaos that's been going on and the possibilities that scanslations may never be finished so close to the end of the series) I am thinking maybe to help you out of doing all the chapters I've never done to maybe allow for a "complete set" (that would mostly be a lot of fill-ins here or there but will include my own versions of the 2nd Choujin Olympics and the Seven Devils)
3. Otokojuku...it's sort of a series you either love or hate from how weird it is (and somewhat predictable) I would love to see more exposure in other languages for it...same goes for Nube. (though Nube at least had a Spanish dub) Also was thinking of doing Otoko's seinen sequel though...after Nube. (unless I do the "missing Kinniku chapters" instead)

Yeah, I quite agree with you, speaking of Otokojuku. It's a good manga, but for me, read very much of it at once causes me headache, lol (I don't Know why). But it is one of the most manly manga i've read (the title says everything XD!). I know that Otokojuku is being scanlated in Spanish, and some chapters were made in portuguese too (but later, unfortunately, the group was dissolved). I think that the manga was also published in Italy (don't have Sure).

Now, a question:
Which is the manga that you consider the most difficult one to translate? (of all the ones that you made)

Unfortunately I don't know Korean so I'm probably not the best to do this. Sorry.

Nintakun: The thing about Otoko is it just feels so viceral with the art and the bizarre battles...but the dialogue, particularly in the fighting arcs, are mostly just "people yelling out what the character has" and various character taunts. (outside any Minmei entry) I think it was supposed to be part of the series due to the cliches being used in such avail but it's tough to say.

As for the hardest series I've translated...at this point it's a toss up between:

1. Bo-bobo: If you're not on your toes doing this series, then you are going to miss a ton. There are so many gags that are puns and so many referring to Japanese references that almost feel obscure that if you're not knowing what you're doing, you're going to screw it up...big time.

2. Desire: Yes, this is "Sex: the series". But while half the time is sex, the other half has typical seinen dialogue...and for that, it means kanji without supporting kana...and even more obscure references to adult things.

Lol, i feel quite the same thing you said in Bobobo with Masaru-san, even though i translate it from English, it's preetty hard to adapt some of Usuta's Jokes and references.

As for Desire, Seinen manga like that is quite hard to translate from Japanese, even so some older shounen manga don't have furigana in some Kanji.

Kinnikuman (well the earlier chaptes) and a good chunk of early Otokojuku was like that but it wasn't as bad as Desire. If it weren't for half that series being sex...I probably would have gone to hell with it.
