Blackbeard may be one of the most evil dudes in One Piece. And in his previous fights, no matter how hard he gets hit, he somehow gets back up. So whats one way of killing this bas-turd for good!?

Besides chopping his head off..

well thats kiinda tricky i mean now he has an offensive devil fruit
he can just pull you in with his darkness than punch you with gura gura no mi
my best guess would be laser blasts or piercing in general
his durability to blunt attacks surpasses that of the rubberman :gwah

he isn't terribly fast, just shoot him, then when he tries to suck you in, just stab or keep shooting him, any non-DF reliant strategy should work, and pretty much any powers are still at least somewhat effective, just attack him while you're being sucked in, and you can essentially pick any place to attack him you want to.

I think now that blackbeard is a yonkou he is much more experience in a variety of ways. I'm sure many strong fighters have attacked him enough to the point where he is more familiar with how to avoid damage and etc, rather than just taking the hits like he normally does... plus he must have a massive fleet that would protect him so that he doesn't have to lift a finger.

I think the best way to fight him is to make his df work against him and of course be a well versed haki user.

I don't know about the large army part. But he definitely is a though bastard. Hopefully Shank's and Luffy will some how kick his ass in the future.

Also, let's say if Luffy was able to fully put arnament haki onto his body like Vergo. Would an attack like Blackbeards black hole affect him? And if he took on one of Whitebeards earthquake punches, would the arnament haki protect him?

The CoA would definitely protect him (at least partially, depending on how strong it was) against any physical damage, even if it's DF-based - including quake punches. But, it wouldn't do much against the black hole sucking thing, since it'd just suck Luffy in with haki. At least BB can't strip anyone of Haki :D

We'll be lucky if he doesn't get a 2nd logia powered fruit that WOULD let him pass through, then he'd be pretty invincible.

Oh man. Luffy should definitely use the haki like Vergo. It'll be so cool. And yes. Being able to block the quake punches makes sense but still being able to get sucked in the black hole makes sense.

But the author shouldn't give Blackbeard all the cool power ups like that. Maybe Luffy has it too? A firefist rubber man. He'd be able to make a giant fireball and counter Blackbeards dark ball white still blocking the quake punches with the rubber infused haki. Ahh yes. :teehee

We have yet to get Vegapunk's explanation of how devil fruits work. All kinds of new options might open up later on in the manga based on the possibilities. For example, Luffy might get temporary help from a weapon that ate a fruit that has been modified by Chopper's zoan affecting medicines (like Rumble ball). Haoshoku Haki might be able to tame the demons inside zoan fruits allowing them to be controlled. Then there's the artificially created devil fruits whose effects and side effects we still don't fully know yet. Maybe Blackbeard will be tricked into absorbing a rigged artificially created devil fruit that weakens his ability to use multiple fruit abilities.

I'm going to assume that Luffy currently doesn't have the capacity to defeat Blackbeard right now; so chances are he will gain some new advantages in the future. We will be able to get a better idea which way it will go when we see Luffy defeat Kaidou. By then a lot more will have been revealed about how devil fruits work (at least artificial devil fruits) and what kind of tricks Luffy will use to defeat a Yonkou.

Vergo's haki is totally useless against Law hence Luffy won't have any different when he faces BB anyway. Now that we know the conquer haki isn't that rare at all, even Qinjiao who was beaten up by Garp has it so maybe there is a type 4th haki exists somewhere out there?

Raliegh himself said that "the further you progress the more possibilities exist" in other words, haki allowed luffy to endure the heat of his own flames in order to enable his "red hawk" move(s) and as you become more proficient a lot of more techniques become accessible, while in theory there is a cap on how powerful you become with any given devil's fruit, technically haki has infinite potential with a DF potentially causing that strength to multiply exponentially as the haki increases.

In short there isn't just a 4th type of haki, the other three types we have seen have a lot lot more uses than just what we're seeing.

How was it useless? I don't quite remember it being that bad. And a 4th type? Like from a conquerors haki to a tyrant's haki? Or maybe King's Haki? Or God haki? So many choices.

Where'd you get the impression that conqueror's haki isn't rare? Out of possibly billions of people, only 8 have been shown to have it so far. Just because its shown more in this part of the story(which is where big shots who have huge ambitions hang out) it doesn't mean it's not rare. Also, just because a guy got beaten by GARP doesn't mean that that guy wasn't supposed to have conqueror's haki. Luffy got beaten up by Garp tons of times and yet he has it. How many people in the story could go against Garp? He was like the bogeyman to pirates during his career and only Roger and possibly Whitebeard were awesome enough to get away from him. :)

I don't think there is a chance of BB getting past the whole intangibility thing. The reason he can't let things go through is that his yami fruit absorbs stuff. The only way for such a thing to work would be for him to stop being a darkness man and be entirely from a different element which can let things go through. Eating a second logia won't give him the advantages of intangibilty IMO. To me it makes sense he would eventually get a third fruit but it should be a zoan.

As far as defeating him though, its complicated. It does not seem like either of his fruits has any special weaknesses. The only real limitation he has is that his logia fruit does not allow him to be intangible but that in itself is not that huge a disadvantage considering haki users can generally bypass that easily. Since he does not have inherent weaknesses beyond the normal weaknesses of a DF user I don't think he will be defeated with a grand strategy or anything. He will simply fight someone and get defeated as most enemies in the manga are. Even if he has a weird body there is still definitely a limit to how much he can handle.

Kaidou, big mam and Shanks are powerful enough to survive Garp too. Isn't it strange that Garp didn't pay Shanks a special visit for both saving Luffy and showing him some "crappy pirate dreams"? Anyway, I'm afraid that BB also has conquer haki too; of course this crackpot is waiting to be confirmed in the far future. Besides, I think Zoro, Law and Kid should have this type of haki because of their grand ambitions, even though these kind of reason seems like coming the fairy land but it's reasonable within the possibilities of OP future chapters.
