I've decided to focus on picures this week. I've sorta got the hang of how to use them, and this week I really enjoyed the artwork.
We start off where we left. The Konoha gang is gathered to discuss Sakuras feelings for, and interests in, various guys. There is a lot of dialogue, but to summarize, Sakura makes a very personal confession to Naruto, but Naruto doesn't believe her and they argue a bit.
The point of all this, in my opinion, is to show us how irrational Naruto really is. The rational ninja-solution would be to just accept Sakura's confession stop chasing Sasuke, but Naruto has his own ninja-way. He then also choses to act like prick about it and needless to say angers the others.
Sakura and the others decide to go hunt Sasuke on their own, but leading up to that point is very interesting set of panels.

Sakura steps on Kiba's toes in anger? Is it because he asked her if they should tell him "the truth", or is it just a display of anger. Maybe I'm just a bit slow, but what exactly did they plan to do? Sakura is obviously determined , but still not completely comfortable about it:
right, "left to right" only works as long as I can ignore the chronology of those bubbles
1: Why? What do they want from Sasuke? Surely she is not going to confess her love to Sasuke in a big circle, there must be some purpose, probably just making things easier for Naruto (Ending Sasuke's misery)
2: Did they plan anything like this, or is this just spur-of-the-moment thing? We will probably learn more soon, so I will not bother you with my ideas.
Lastly Sai is up to something:

Either,
A, someone is disguised as Sai for some purpose, or,
B, Sai is using a clone to spy on himself/the others. Might be some jutsu out of Root that involatarily makes a clone like that, but more likely Sai is up to something. And it probably is something about Hokage (Danzo, remember?).
Or C, Sai's evil twin brother showed up to spy on them (he had a brother didn't he?).
Anyways this is also something that we will surely learn more about very soon, so lets move on.
This page dazzles me. We basically just see the kage-teams moving out, but I can spend much time just examing the details and structure of this page. The idea of using smaller groups to keep the internal group structures simple makes perfect sense when watching this. 1 kage + 2 handpicked top-level ninja that combined become a perfect fighting unit. I really like this page.
We get a little look at team Tsuchikage, and then cut off to THE place we wanna be right now: Kisame vs Killer Bee.
Pope Rocketfist III took a beating as expected. It is unclear what consequences this will have for the space church, but hopefully Kisame already confessed some of his sins of astronomical proportions (for explanation, read my previous review. Or don't... It still wont make sense)
The racoon-freak and it's master don't seem to be big trouble for Kisame. Killer Bee however is a nasty fella.
Kisame boasts about taking out the racoon. Apparently Killer Bee starts off in a careless manner, taking notes from his songtutor while he attacks Kisame. They manage to surround Kisame and attack him from 2 sides, seamingly having the upper hand, but for some reason Killer Bee's attack doesn't pierce Kisame as it should. And then Kisame finally unwraps Samehada. I've tried to summarize this in comic form, without the use of text:

Now for a chakra eating monster sword form Akatsuki, that thing looks kinda cute. I can see why Kisame likes it so much at least.
Also, remember how so many bad guys have been introduced with a wrapped up pubbet, a strange gourd or some other item that would later be revealed to be something very special. Well Kisame was introduced in chapter 139. We are at 470 folks. That is hell of a long wait! And we are about to see it in real, unwrapped, action for the first time!
Rating of this weeks chapter: 6/10
This week was about as enjoyable as last week, minus the weird confessions part, plus Kisame vs Killer Bee. I will admit that part of me wanna give it 10/10 for seeing Samehada, but I really wanna save the high grades, because I have a feeling it is going to get a whole lot more exiting soon.
Not 7: Yeah well, it can get better than this I'm sure. And I really believe that not overfeeding the 7's will make it easier for me later.
Not 5: Did you see that last slide? "Hoshigaki Kisame. Remember my name!" !!!!1!
