I think Acno ruling the world is the rogue exclusive timeline. In Future lucy's timeline, if I am not mistaken 10000 dragons ruled the world. So they was likely killed Acno or he didn't come out his came.

Definitely. But even in Rogues timeline, we don't know what Acno did. He could've killed the god dragons one by one in a high diff fight. He could've gotten RoT and killed them with that. He could've eaten FH Zeref. The God Dragons might still be asleep, it's only been 7 years. Or, most likely of all, Mashima had no idea about the God Dragons when he wrote that arc.
