We all know from an interview (not a fake one), that Kishi didn't really want to continue with Team Taka members.
That means, that, at least at the origin, they weren't supposed to have a big role in Naruto.
Now, Kishi was forced by the editor to keep them and to find them a purpose.
I was wondering what will be their role in Naruto?
Team Taka
As far as we saw, none of them (excluding Sasuke) is really strong...
- Karin : A hax-healer, and decent sensor type.
- Juugo : Supposed to be all about raw power, but didn't show that much so far...
- Suigestu : A wannabe 7-swordman which was hyped as a "Zabuza #2".
We know that, at least, Juugo and Suigestu are supposed to be powerful, since even Pain knew about them, and said that everyone should know about them already :

So, Juugo is known as Juugo of the scales. Not too sure if this will have an importance later on, but Tsuchikage was also knows as Onoki of the double scales, so there might be a link between the two.
As for Suigestu, he was hyped up by Kisame the first time he talked about him, referring to him as a second Demon Zabuza.

So, according to those info, those two should actually be powerful, but except beating fodders, they haven't shown anything yet...
For their defense, aside from fodders, they only fought the Raikage and their body guards who are really strong (especially Raikage).

Their role in the manga
I kinda want them to fight against a few of the Genin12 since they should be of the same level and that will allow to showcase some of the Genin12 new jutsu since the timeskip (ex: Kiba, Hinata, etc).
I don't care that much about Juugo or Karin (apart from that thing she "did" to Sasuke...
), but I really like Suigestu.
I like how his relationship with Sasuke is kinda mirrored from the relationship between Itachi and Kisame.
It would be great if Suigestu and Sasuke would actually become real close friends.
Suigestu is also the only one of the three that actually stated a goal...
The other two are simply following Sasuke, with no goal for themselves:
- Karin is following Sasuke only because she love his chakra so much.
- Juugo is following Sasuke only because he's the only one that can stop his killing rage
Suigestu is the only one that talked about his own goal : retrieving the 7 swords of the 7 swordmans.
It would be interesting to see him suceed (even though he already manage to break one of them).
Suigestu is definitely the most interesting of those three.

Especially now that they were abandon by Sasuke.
I wonder how they will react to this.
Already, Karin seemed to love Sasuke less and less now that he has this dark chakra.
And Suigestu told Sasuke that he was stupid because he didn't thank them after they save his ass against Raikage.
So, now that they were abandon by him, it would be nice to NOT see them just go back to Sasuke just like a dog go back to its master...
