When the Pacifistas were revealed to have laser beams, it wasn't just a logical addition to an android weapon- it was specifically cited as being made from researching Kizaru's Light Light powers and integrating them into machinery.

Is the WG doing more of this with other fruits? I have a nightmare vision of various models of Pacifistas using mechanically-improvised equivalents of various DF powers. Or even mechanics that cancel out DF powers, many of them have simple drawbacks that could be exploited by specialized Pacifistas. Super soakers for anti-Croc PX, rubber cover/insulation for Enel (if he ever comes down), some sort of magnetic-field nullifier for Kidd, something similar for Apoo's music, etc. Now that I think about it, I could see potential new PX's being designed to hunt down/fight the Supernovae specifically, since they're all such recklessly destabilizing forces (especially after this Yonkou War).

Which ones do you want to/think will happen? I want a Gum Gum Pacifista

I'd like to see Vegapunk create Pacifistas that are actually able to adapt to devil fruit powers like the Sentinels in X-men Days of Future Past. The Pacifistas were just prototypes like the Sentinels Trask first designed, so the completed models could also have been designed to not just counter one specific ability but any. That might be too overpowered though but it could make it so that only ridiculously powerful people can beat them. At the very least, the new Pacifistas should be strong enough to pose problems for the upper tier guys in the new world just like how the prototypes were problems for the rookies in paradise. They're gonna have to be on a completely different level to be relevant. Also if they're anything like the sentinels in the xmen movie then I imagine there'd only be a few of them in order to balance them out.

Well, I reckon Vegapunk has a lot of knowledge regarding Devil Fruits (he probably/likely has a DF encyclopedia, like the one BB had at some point), but making the Pacifistas counter any and all kinds of DF sounds a bit too much for me.

I mean, for starters, it's not like Vegapunk knows every single fruit that's out there, right? So the Pacifistas could never fully adapt to all DFs in existence, and if there came a time where a DF user would just happen to be "immune" to the Pacifistas "because plot", a lot of people would get mad at that sort of writing.

So, instead of making the Pacifistas able to come up with proper counters for every single DF (or most of them), why not just have them make use of Sea Stone? Vegapunk could equally reseach Sea Stone and incorporate it in the Pacifistas in the form of different weapons.

Maybe he found a way to make some Sea Stone "bombs" that would work on a certain radius (think Law's Room), negating all DF users' powers for a time, or something like that.

At the very least, the new Pacifistas should be strong enough to pose problems for the upper tier guys in the new world just like how the prototypes were problems for the rookies in paradise. They're gonna have to be on a completely different level to be relevant.

But 2 years later the Pacifistas seem to have stayed the same... and barely any time has passed since they left Sabaondy, so should we really assume that there's bigger and badder Pacifistas out there?

Of course I never forgot about Law's words to Smoker, which imply that the Marines also went to work during those 2 years, but somehow I don't think Pacifistas have anything to do with it.

I imagine the WG will reassess the need to development the PX's further once the Yonkou War wraps up. The Supernovae will be crazy wanted after this.

Yes. After the time skip, Sentomaru talked about the Pacifistas they sent having been prototypes, implying that there are already improved versions or they're working on it. It was probably just more cost effective to send the same Pacifistas that they were sure could beat them since the updated models would probably be a lot more expensive. If there's some kind of super pacifistas in the works, I imagine they'd be revealed at a bigger event, not just as tools to showcase the crews improvement.

This could had work, if Franky wouldn't have developed the Radical Beam.
X Drake's comment about fusing Kizaru's beam with Pacifistas was a understatement for us, to my understand. It only showed the advanced cyborgs, Vegapunk is able to create. While Franky landed on Karakuri, Vegapunk's birthplace, and ended finding his blueprints on laser beams, so before of his meeting with Kizaru and the Pika powers.
So nothing of the sort will happen, specially with Sakazuki bossing, he starts to loath the World Goverment by these days.
