Hi! Sorry for sending you a PM instead of posting here.
When it comes to releasing Edited Mangas with your translations; do you have any site preference or anything? (Like, I know some people hate Mangafox etc) or anything?
Also, I just want to double check that you don't mind me using your translations for Chimoguri Ringo to Kingyobachi Otoko. It's understandable if you'd rather give preference to someone who has actually done Edited Mangas before!
In any case, thanks for all your translation work!


EDIT: Oh man, looks like some other Edited Manga group are doing CRtKO.. Now I'd feel awkward doing it too, especially seeing as they're better at cleaning/typesetting than I am..
Sorry to bother you! Guess I'll go have to look for a translation of a project noone else has picked up yet...

See the thing is with this though is that a group just released a chapter 19 days ago. Once again, one of my rules is that a release would have had to been more than two months. I don't translate manga for the sake of 'going faster' than another group, since I'm really not a 'great' translator (the jury is out on me even being a 'good' translator). I also think I might put a clause in da rulez about sports manga since I generally am not interested in them. I appreciate you taking the time out to request this, but due to the factors I just stated (that and it's also a seinen, which means more work on my end), I have to say no to your request. Sorry.

Though this is the first time someone's come using sales numbers as a part of their request. I'm honestly impressed.

It was one of the options I was weiging in on, yes. So that's one that's noted for an Aku revivial. No one else seems to be interested in me picking it up though, and the whole point of me stating publicly that I'm opening requests is for people to request what they want...

Hello there, I saw you had shown interest in Assassination Classroom which is as you said is being translated by someone else now. But I was wondering you had any interest in maybe doing PSI Kusuo Saiki, seeing as it's a Jump series and the only one that has gotten 0 attention from Manga Editors, which is a shame because I hear it's great. Since it's a gag series it has short chapters every week, but there might be a lot of puns which might be annoying to translate.

Or maybe Zeus no Tane. Another gag series, but this one running in Magazine. I'd like to see Magazine series get more attentions as well as more gag series.

Or maybe Dr.Duo which is another Magazine series about a boy who teams up with the ghost of a doctor to save lives. Seeing as Godhand Teru never got attention I thought it might be nice to get a medical manga translated.

All 3 of these series started not too long ago, so there's not too much material to translate.

Had no idea about PSI Kusuo. I looked up raws for Zeus no Tane and could only find some for chapter 8 and most Dr.Duo raws seem to have been taken down. So I guess my request is invalid, thanks for paying attention to it though.

That's a shame. Thanks for requesting. I would have liked to see the raws at least, even if it turns out I wouldn't be taking the project.

Desert Punk

First things first:
1) It's seinen so it's probably more difficult to translate than your average shounen series
2) Last Edited Manga came out almost a year ago (contrary to what's stated on Baka Updates, proof, you can also see that the date on Batoto is December 2011 even though it was 4 months later than release on JCafe. I have no idea why there are such differences but the fact is that since last August there wasn't even a single chapter released).
3) It is labeled as ecchi but there is no nudity in it (main hero is just perverted like Toujo, I would say even less than him). The most ecchi scene was in chapter 21st and it showed a woman in a bathing suit so I would say Gintama is more perverted manga than this one.
4) In lots of ways it resembles Gintama, e.g. protagonist isn't ashamed to use dirty tactics (remember how Gintoki defeated Kondou by giving him a broken bokken? You can expect things like these from Kanta) and he's also not someone who would hesitate to run if needed.
5) I'm Editing Claymore only but I would do an exception for this under-appreciated manga

Even if you're not interested in translating I highly recommend reading it. It's hilarious and yet the story is very consistent and interesting. Definitely not your average manga.

Believe it or not, but I was actually reading this a few months ago. I liked the anime when I saw it a couple of years back, and went looking for the manga. It is a great series Goral. You have excellent taste. Though that seinen thing sets a hiiiiiiigh bar for me. If it weren't for that I'd jump into this project with gutso. Though at least I want to read through it before I dismiss the series completely. I just wish my Japanese were better than it is. I really do. So for now I won't say no, but I can't commit completely because the high language bar.

I actually get the magazine 'Monthly Shounen Sunday' (Known in some places as Gessan), where Trigger is serialized, and I bought the first volume. I don't have a scanner so I don't have means to actually give you raws though, sorry. I bought those things with my own money, and didn't really get them anywhere.

Boku to Majo no Jikan runs in Jump SQ. I had a raw source for a while, but he decided to stop scanning it. I don't know anyone who scans the entire magazine, (Only a few series like Ao no Exorcist and Claymore get regular scans.) So I think you'd either have to buy the tanks or get a subscription.

Doesn't seem like there are 'free' alternatives for either one of the series, since Jikan never gets scanned, and the entirety of Gessan doesn't get scanned either.
