To make it short, you wanted to quit for a while but you actually couldn't?

I guess that will also happen to me. It's impossible for me not to drink.

of course it is... I stopped my drinking out of concern for the calories and my ever growing tummy.

Now I only drink about once in two months, when I absolutely cannot turn a drink down- like taking the hit for a buzzed out friend just so we can go home already, or when an old friend shows up and shoves a beer into my hands and giving me "the look"...

Or... when I just really feel like it, which is very rare these days. Only when I'm at a party and I don't know anybody and there's no point staying sober if the booze is free anyway, why not just have a good time, sorta thing.

I haven't been drinking much lately just because i got my appendix taken out about two weeks ago but last weekend i went to Olympia which is about 100 miles from where i live and hung out with my friends for a couple days cause one of them was opening a coffee stand so i drank with them to celebrate that then i went down to Seattle and in 2 nights me and three friends drank 2 half gallons of cheap whiskey and it was a fun 2 nights let me tell you that

It depends on the mood. Sometimes you come to the frindge, look at the alcohol and think that you aren't in the mood, but sometimes you just have a maraphon for a whole summer drinking everything that burns.
But of course it's posible not to drink if you have s trong will.

I think Bacardi has/had an ad campaign revolving around mojitos, but you can use any brand of rum for that, really.

@Katy - Never tried that but it sounds like it could be yummy. What do you mix it with?

It goes well in quite a few drinks, but we hadit in strawberry jello shots, and mixed with sprite and other things. Also very good on it's own Makes for very good straight shots too!

Many non-drinking people are afraid of getting drunk. But what they don't realize is getting tipsy and being able to speak all you want are the best parts of drinking..

I can't drink and don't see the fun in feeling like that and then being hungover for days and peeing every five minutes

Well, yeah, I guess I admit neighbors trying to sleep must have wanted me as arrested back then.

Still, what matters most are the company of my friends and the feel of having a good drink with them. It's really fun talking with friends who are also drunk.

I remember what friends and I talk about while drinking for the most part, but it always seems less epic/deep in retrospect. Still doesn't mean it wasn't fun at the time.

But yeah, I don't really drink with the intention of getting drunk often. Those events are veeeery few and far between. Mostly, I just drink a little bit in social situations because it's fun to do so with friends and I enjoy the taste.

Ok, here's my question (sorry if I ask too much):

The treatment for UTI is to have a person pee continuously, right? So water is advised for a person with that condition because much water can make him/her pee. Alcohol does the same, right? Why shouldn't a person be allowed to drink alcohol, then, if he/she has UTI?

...just curious, is all.

actually cranberry juice is better than water. Water is merely a diuretic. Cranberry juice actually cleans your urinary tract--just drinking water alone won't do it. If you're not taking antibiotics then drink cranberry juice. Even if you are taking them still drink cranberry juice. Any doctor will tell you that cranberry juice is the best

We visited a restaurant-bar somewhere in the suburbs of the city. Intentionally, we came there just to celebrate the weekends by eating. When I checked the menu, I found there Chivas Regal.

... I ordered it...

... and then, "Oh my God! I love it!"

It cost P100.00 per shot. Just one shot for a whole P100? How ridiculous!

In the end, I ended up being the ridiculous one because I spent P1100 for taking in 11 shots. My friends were laughing at me because they only ordered vodka for P130.00 while I spent a whopping P1100!

Damn, my money just flew away. But I didn't regret it. The taste of Chivas Regal was fantastic!

I'm more into wine right now, but I only drink in moderate amounts nowadays...I don't like getting very drunk anymore...I know pretty well that the Earth is spinning, so no need proving that to myself...and I have sleeping problems nowadays if I drink a lot so...

I'm actually trying to get more acquainted with wine as well, bene. Being a cook and all, it's a must that I know about them >.<

I love getting drunk on wine though. It's a different feeling- wines have different effects compared to hard and beer, because you laugh and laugh and it's a high feeling.
