Friends had cilantro tequila or something, forgot. They said it tasted horrible.

huh, I remembered writing this with one less "CHEAP ASS" lol. In spite of the awful rum for which I grossly overpaid I actually had a good time though. Need more fun like that.

Had a bottle of Chill Out red wine (Expedition Red 2009) last night to dinner and while it's not a luxurious wine by any means it's one of the best "student-affordable" wines I've had and definitely one of my favorite red wines, "finer" ones included.

Patrón has got to be the tequila that's featured in the most song lyrics at the moment. Seriously no one seems to be able to shut up about it. It's supposed to be quite expensive isn't it?

Last Saturday/Sunday I had some really, really old Cutty Sark. Sadly, the craptastic beer I had to endure that night kept me from enjoying it

Not sure if it's expensive as I never paid for the drinks. I had three shots total, twice in NYC few weeks ago and once this Saturday. Friends paid, sadly.

It's pretty overrated, not sure why they're using it in song lyrics. Guess either Patron paid for it or because they like the lack of burn Patron brings. I like combining it with lime though.

Patron isn't weak, it's smooth -- big difference. It's 80 proof, which is the same as things like Jose Cuervo, Jack Daniels, and Jim Beam. The "lack of burn" is deceptive and the biggest reason most people like it. It's easy to drink, even as a shot.

You're right, Crude Cross, Patron can be kind of expensive, but it's good quality. I'm not sure it's song-worthy or anything, but I do know that it tastes great in a margarita.

I would argue 2 shots of anything is not even remotely enough to make you feel something unless of course you are having shots of pure alcohol (in which case 2 shots would be the equivalent to some 5 or 6 shots). By my own experience tequila is far from boring (although I don't drink it anymore).
