When Zoro and whoever else make it to the dome, there'll be a few Scabbards still conscious- by process of elimination, one of them will have to be Kin'emon. Zoro will demand Kin'emon teach him how to cut fire, alluding to Punk Hazard when Kin did the same thing against Vegapunk's artificial dragon and Zoro mused to himself that he'd like to learn that. Now we've seen that Kin's technique can cut Kaidou's fire, Zoro will want to use that TO CUT KAIDOU'S FLAME CLOUD THAT'S CARRYING ONIGASHIMA.

In typical One Piece fashion, Kin'emon will explain that he just has to think about cutting fire *really* hard to do it. Zoro is immediately infuriated for like two panels before having a flashback to his fight with Mr. 1 and learning to cut steel, maybe another flashback to his sensei talking about 'cutting nothing'.

Cue Zoro slicing through Onigashima and cutting nothing but Kaidou's "flame cloud", dropping the island before it crushes Ebisu Town.

If Onigashima just drops from such a height, won't most people on it die? Even Big Mom's YC were scared of dying when they were falling from the top of that building where the wedding took place.

Wow that is a great theory. But Moe has a point. My best guess is that Zoro will cut the flame clouds...but not all at once causing the island to slowly sink back into the water's surface.

Things to note:

A. Depending where it lands, more or less of the island can be covered by water.
B. Also depending where and how hard it falls, we can expect tsunamis going towards Wanokuni.
C. If Zoro cut and disperses all the clouds, there is no evidence Kaido cannot make more. Maybe if he can be distracted then he cannot make more. But when did he start making these clouds in the first place? Looks like during his fight with the 9 red scabbards.
D. What is going to happen to all those ships docked at Onigashima now that there is no land to make any safe harbors or docks?

This being said, I hope Zoro cuts those flame clouds.

He can just make it descend slowly.

And this is definitely not intended for just Ebisu Town. Oda hadn't made the people of the Flower Capital prepare all this party to not turn it into horror, and Onigashima is far too large to just crush Ebisu town.

Anyways, this is all about the image of Onigashima above the gigantic tree that holds the Wano castle like a throne.

Oda tells the secrets of this story through its meta, and I think this is one of them, because while it has no importance to Wano, it is central to the overall story of One Piece.

The Shandia and their Soul Trees, Skypea and the Giant Jack, the mysterious Adam tree, the island that Luffy trained on (forgot the name), Eve illuminating Fishman Island, the Whale Tree and Zou, the Flower Capital Castle of Wano, Elbaf... Hiluluks cure + Drum Rocks = Tree

Trees at the center of civilization is kind of the core of paganism.

But one thing is strange. No one noticed this, but Levely arc makes no sense. The roots of the Eve Tree illuminate Fishman Island, which is below Mary Geoise, meaning that Mary Geoise is supposed to house a gigantic, and by that I mean absurdely gigantic, like 20 km tall, tree.

Did you see any gigantic tree in Mary Geoise? We entered this city from the Fishman's point of view, you think they, especially Shirahoshi who has never been to the surface and who immediately took notice of the real forest, wouldn't mention it at all?

Makes no sense which means the Eve tree is gone, but what is in its place? The castle and Empty Throne obviously.

Out of all places in One Piece, Wano and the Red Line are the most similar, from being composed of fused islands with different climate zones, to being elevated on a plateau that can be entered via lifts, to (no longer) housing a gigantic tree in the midst- certainly no coincidence.

Zoro learning how to cut fire on the fly seems rather weird IMO. I suppose its possible but its weird that kinemon could just tell him and then zoro would do it.

Add to that the sheer danger of onigashima just dropping somewhere without zoro even having a clue as of where.

Also, zoro definitely has a ton of range as a swordsman but in this case the cutting would require range AND basically cutting through the entire island. Since the flames in question at the moment are basically under zoro's current location. Basically, for zoro to get to the flames, which he first has to learn about, he would have to cut onigashima itself in half. Add to that, potentially doing it as many times as required to actually stop the flames. It's not an impossible feat considering zoro specifically got enhanced cutting power from his training with enma but cutting through potentially kilometers of solid rock to get to the flames would unarguably be the single biggest cutting feat in the manga. Which at the moment I would argue is held by marineford mihawk...

Might be Nami's time to shine. Surely after her 2 years studying weather ć, she could come up with a plan to steadily lower Onigashima? Maybe it's not a natural phenomenom, but the application of clouds, heat and maybe currents should be right up her area of expertise
