You like Oscar? Oscar has way too many flaws. I know that he still needs time to develop, but the fact that he's small and is too easily pushed off the ball is a problem that isn't going to just magically go away.
They have these magic things at clubs called gyms. He's overshadowed by Hazard but I think he is going to be an exciting player in a few years.

I guess, but as I didn't see you supporting Chelsea, it seems kind of questionable.

Um, people could see the talent of AVB as a manager, but the problem was that he insisted on playing a style that didn't match the players he had. If your CBs aren't overly quick, you can't play a high line, but even with speedy CBs, a high line is a very dangerous prospect. The inflexibility in the face of failure was something that people disagreed with.

I haven't actually watched much of him, but i think with the right supervision he can be an awesome player in the future. Though i think Chelsea payed more for him then they should had.
Ramirez, i remember pretty much him from Benfica, and i know that he is an awesome players when on shape.
About Hazard he kinda reminds me of Ronaldo on his first years at MU. He is definitely one of the most talented young players, though he still needs to reach that consistency level, it's needed on the top tier players.

And not to mention i loved players like Lampard, Terry some years ago, at least when it came to their capability on the field.
And some really important players on Porto's past also played on Chelsea, like Ricardo Carvalho or Deco, which is one more reason for me to have some affection for Chelsea.

Fair point, but some people just can't build muscle mass even if they do that...unless they have help :e3

He does sort of look out of place out there, not really speaking of his play really.

Oscar on roids would look odd. I do somehow think that Oscar has tried to build muscle mass, but he's just a very slight guy. He does better against less physical defenders, but the Premier League has a lot of physical defenders, so it doesn't really work out for him.

We can pretty much conclude that he wouldn't make much a name for himself if he played on Serie A :derp

What about Napoli? or Lazio? They always had small players.

Indeed. :P

Well, that's true, but it's not just about being small. You don't see Messi getting defeated all the time by a single defender or anything. A lot of Napoli or Lazio's smaller players were pacy, so it makes it harder to defend them, and pacy is not a word that would ever by applied to Oscar.

I'm just against the idea of Italian Football to be the toughest and hardest... that's old story (like... when people thought about headers -at least here- they were like "yeah, like English football!")

Exactly. You compare Oscar and Mata, and while they're about the same size, Mata has more muscle, is a spec faster, has better feet, and just can't be pushed off the ball. There's the epic moment where Mata shoves Kyle Walker off the ball. :derp

Oscar is genuinely skinny. He also does not come from a footballing cultural that encourages "getting stuck in" or general physical play. Messi didnt only get stronger, he also learnt how to handle physical play. There is an important mental aspect to it. Oscar wouldn't have survived the premier league 10 years ago.

The thing is that I haven't seen any signs of Oscar adapting to physical play.

You're right. 10 years ago, all of the midfielders and defenders were physical and if you weren't physical yourself, you'd never get anywhere.

That's modern day football. Not only in England have they become bitches, with the exception of Stoke City, they break your legs :lmao When guys like Edgar Davids was around and the game was really physical it was awesome. Now every little tackle is seen as a foul and kinda kills the game. Though I must say, Messi at least tries to stay on his feet all the time.

Btw, what do you guys think about yellow cards for celebrations?

Old rule, but it's still a rule.

It's more stupid to take your shirt off knowing that you'll get a yellow card, that the rule itself.

Edgar Davids was a legend. :derp

It's a pointless rule that needs to be eliminated.

Maybe cause I'm Southamerican, but I never saw what was so good about Davids. I think he was just super hyped (thanks to his glasses, like 40 nike adds, hell, even his winning eleven stats).

Maybe I'm wrong though (and it's just like Verón for you)...

Davids wasn't that good. He was just really physical in an era where overly physical play was encouraged.

Well he had some mad dribbling skills, but wasn't that great... as said before though, he was very physical. There's a reason he's known as the pitbull >_>
