I still have my original DS . I never upgraded cause I was like wth I already have one that works and basically has the same capabilities (even though I do think the DSL was much better, just didn't see it as being a purchase I needed to make). My DS has take a lot of wear and tare and the bulky thing has quite a few scratches on the outside but it still works like a charm . I guess nintendo's bulkier systems last longer, lol. I had the original Gameboy up until last year when it finally busted. It had been working fine for 20 years before finally going, and that was a pretty bulky system .

Hello fellow gamers. This could sound like spamvertisement but I promise it isn't...
For those old enough to know monkey island, it's always been one of my personal favorites and I was pretty excited to hear it being remade so a whole new generation of people can discover the hilarious adventures of Guybrush Treepwood and dream to grow up to be a pirate.

Now, the scoop is that the editor has made a bold decision to make the first installment of the remake completely free but for one day only as part of their attempt to play on a pun of pirating software. The start time happens to be today in less than 3 hours:

Even as a big fan of the game, I hadn't heard of this until a friend of mine told me about an hour ago so I figured a few of you might not have known either. If anyone is curious enough to see what got people giggling in their nerdpants 15 years ago, or maybe take a break from ninjas for a day or two or simply want to legally freeload a game to kill a few hours of boredom, I'd advise you to check it out.

Halo:ODST is coming out soon... and I'm wondering, is Halo all that people say it is?

If you put away your fanboyism, does the Halo series really stand up or is it just a Final Fantasy 7 thing?

By Final Fantasy 7 I mean... something that revolutionizes the genre, but at the core, relies on its ground breaking graphic/player environment.

What I mean is... that FF7 was largely harold because nothing like it was seen before...and because of that - its seen as a monumental game. In a way, the same could be said with Halo and its 2-playerco-op playability...

So, I ask the question... is it quality gaming or just something that we all revere because of its ground breaking game play?

ehhh it didn't really revolutionize the genre, it just made FPSs popular on consoles. FPSs were mostly played on PCs before Halo showed up

imo it's the gameplay and I don't even have to think twice. Me and my friends enjoyed to run it through on all difficulties a couple of times but that was because of the new style of graphics and the way you controlled your character on console. It became fun. But the game itself isn't that special.

Yattaaa! The first trailer is out, I can't believe they are actually making progression with the game. The trailer is just beautifull and damn awesome. And it is still without monthly fees. This game has all the potential to finally seize the thrown from WoW. [/fanboy-ism]

Oooh guildwars 2! I played it a while after I stopped with wow. Still have the NF poster lying around somewhere...The idea for GW2 Is awesome! wait, wait, wait... dragons??? fight together??? WOAH! And look at the areas we're shown. Holy shit that's some awesome areas. Beautifully! It looks sick! I caaaaan't wait!!!

The trailer for GW2 is truly magnificent with such beautiful looking areas. It's been long since t hey first announcement, so I really hope that all they have shown will end up in the final product.

Ono [One of the main people behind Capcom's fighting games] wanted to offer DS IV as well, Capcom USA said no with the reason "No one really wants it". But you guys can help change this! How?

Just register and make your opinion, to help Oko prove there is a high demand for a sequel of this awesome series. Just think about it, DarkStalkers + SF IV Graphics

It's really nothing hard, just register, and write a comment. Capcom USA were skeptical about SF IV, and look what happened, enough people commenting can really change things. Feel free to post this message to other friends/forums etc etc
