Haha, I'll make you feel young. Super Mario on SNES (is it SNES? I mean the really old nintendo, the square, haha). But you're only 2 years younger than me, so maybe it's not enough :p

Bayonetta is epic!

a hack'n slash that got 40/40(360) and 38/40(ps3) is already a classic. i'm playing the demo and I can say: seems better than any other Hack'n slash i've played before. A must buy!

Anyone have any insight on Dragon Age: Origins?

My brother says we should get it, but idk. I mean, Bioware is known for good stories in RPGs, but I wonder if it's in itself a good game past that.

I started playing Dragon Age yesterday, loading it right now ^^ Till now (+- 2h of playtime), I'm loving it. Made a city elf, warrior (btw, the character creation process is so cool, on the appearance part you just feel like playing The Sims, so many options! xD) and got my character in tons of trouble already ;3

I like this part of the WRPGs...sometimes you feel like the choices you made have really changed the course of the story. I got myself thinking "damn, shouldn't have said this" tons of times in just a short while... :p Many games treat this really lightly - the changes are really shallow depending on what you choose - but I felt they got it right on Dragon Age. At least till now, but it's a bit early for a review, hehe ^^

The graphics are amazing, so is the music, and even the dub is good (i usually hate dubbed games :P). Well, gonna play a bit, yesterday I stopped playing in such a cliffhanger part...:x

^I'm getting DA:O soon myself, it's a shame how i have to hold back on the new games being released because of exams coming up x_X. From what I've read and heard it's totally epic. One of the game recommenders in Norway's biggest newspaper even said it was the best game he ever played, none equal, none above. I dunno, Diablo was the me the most epic game ever made despite all the new games being released after it that rocked too.
(Btw, can't wait for Diablo 3!!)

@Blai: Sorry man, I totally forgot to add you, I'll try to remember when I play again in a few hours >_>

screw modern warfare, Dragon Age is my GotY. Its awesome, but its also really hard at the beginning, until you get make a strategy and get some decent sidekicks. If you're on the fence about DA:O, I really recommend getting it, its a blast to play.

and yeah Agrias, I've made a whole bunch of choices that I am starting to regret. I went with Mage the first round, but it takes a while to get some decent spells up and running. AoE spells are really important though, its impossible without them >.>

I'll add you up tonight, Lelo ^_^

Actually only a few people here in MH own a playstation 3, that's sad news, and I don't have many people playing MW2, that game is completely sick, though I'm experiencing some lags >.<

Played Assassins Creed 2 yesterday for an hour. The game has more to offer than its predecessor. It was fun running on rooftops and killing guards. By the way, the story this time seems to have more mature-like contents.

http://kotaku.com/5407941/today-in-brazil-sony-officially-launched-the-playstation2

is this really true?

I mean, PS2 officially being launched in Brazil is odd in and of itself(at least from the viewpoint of someone in the US), but the prices are crazy. R$799 or USD$465 for the console and R$199 or USD$115 for games?!?!

It would probably be cheaper to fly to Miami, buy a PS2 and some games, fly back than it is to buy the equivalent amount there.

Yup, it is. ^^ Although you can find it everywhere for r$400 (less than $200) now, modded.

We do have a high import tax for videogames - 70% over the price + shipping, but well, not even if the tax was over 200% it would cost that much in the end. Sony is greedy, ridiculous, and is just saying "ok, now you have the official console and an official reason to pirate stuff and prove we were right.".

yeah, that's the sad reality.

The main problem are the taxes, which are extremely high here, something about 60% of the full price plus 18% from others minor taxes.

But Sony isn't exactly using the brain about it: nowadays you can get a PS2 for about R$ 399(USD$230) with ease. Granted, this is far from a good price, but when compared with the official price, it's a bliss.

As for the games, well, many people I know will keep buying them on international shops like www.estarland.com, including myself. By buying on these shops, at least we can get a reasonable price(almost all of my PS3 games were bought on estarland), there's no point on buying them here on Brazil...
