Last Guardian is the only game that impressed at TGS this year to me i wonder how the Trico (cat bird creature) is controlled n how much interaction is real play..

FFvs13 nothing new n was short altho news of a special info conferance in january was good news.

DmC im saying nothing else on the matter..altho from now i refer it as DINO (Devilmaycry In Name Only) the name fans are giving it...i was hoping after all the years since a DMC but we got this mess so far not hoping for much from it

- Mortal Kombat executive producer, Shaun Himmerick, reveals that the company has a PSP2

"We have a PSP2 in the house and we’re looking at the engine, like what can it support," says Himmerick. "Always a big thing for us is the performance. Anyone noticing some allusions in Starcraft 2 decals?
SC2 allows players to unlock new avatars (actually they only appear in pre game lobby, player statistic page and loading screen) and "decals", small symbols visible on units and buildings of a player in game.

Now it seems they they had a little bit of "inspiration" by Naruto:

Ok, gotta admit that tomoe are a symbol easily coming to ones mind when thinking about such a tribe-organised alien race like Protoss, but three pretty exact matches seems unlikely to me :P

- Ico and SotC Collection will have trophy support.

The Last Guardian director Fumito Ueda also mentioned that they are considering adding 3D effects and Move support to the game.

- Ono hinted that there might be more new characters for SSFIV: Arcade Ver.

- Capcom and Konami announced that there will be a Monster Hunter-Metal Gear Solid tie-up.

In Monster Hunter Portable 3rd:

As reported at 4gamer, the tie-up involves the following areas:

* MHP3rd will feature Snake male equipment and The Boss female equipment. When equipped, your characters will look like Snake and The Boss.
* Your companion Felynes will be able to wear sneaking suits, bandanas and hold knives. When you make your hunter duck the Felyne will hide itself in a box.
* The game will have sound effects and voices from Metal Gear Solid. This includes Snake and The Boss saying the game's trademark "Jouzu ni Yakimashita!" for when you cook meat.

They celebrated this tie-up with a huge chunk of meat. Monster Hunter fans would understand the reference.

- hideo Kojima (god of MGS) this year TGS was quiet without hideo apart from the CastleVania 7min trailer he edited n created (very cool) but next year after getting praise for his trailer he replyed ;"Next year, I'd like to show my very own new game (game design+script+direction) rather than just editing." it known kojima is working on a game (it not ZOE3) ment to break "Taboo" of gaming.

Nah, he's been saying that since E3. I guess he just likes to complain or he is just discontent that Japanese video game developers are not doing much to globalize their products and attracts a wider audience.

Anyways, news time:

i dont get why he thinks games should only make money not make games for fans..i mean Koei good example reviewers hate hate hate the DW series but they still get made for fans...there is alot of jrpgs that are for the niche market of people and they get made...the persona or atlus games are not making huge amounts of money but they still make games FOR THE FANS.

to me capcom dont make sense anymore they should get a new boss who knows that making games fans want = money, not try to change to attract westerners ignoring fans.

valkyria looks amazing it looks dark hopefully character deaths will return

That Rambi trailer is sweet. So much Nostalgia being reminded of the old one but I'm also quite excited now to try him out on these new levels. Things look like they get a bit more complicated while retaining the classic feel. Can't wait for it .

Also that super mario collectors addition is basically the same thing as Super Mario All Stars for the SNES. The only difference this time is its on a disc instead of a cartridge .

Yeah, the Super Mario Bro. Collection is just a port, which is a pity.

- Project Milo might be canceled according to rumors.
- Bioshock: Infinite's "Sky-line" combat is explained.
- Little Big Planet 2's release date has been delayed to Jan. 18, 2011. I'm kinda disappointed but at least it's going to be out around my b-day.
- Nomura is drawing some character designs for his next game. He said that he is trying to make them "charming".

- Nomura said that KH3 will not be probably out in 2012.

"2012 is the 10th anniversary of Kingdom Hearts, so we'd like to do something to celebrate. However, I'll say this up front, just because it's the 10th anniversary, we still won't have KH3 out (laughs)."

I was watching G4 the other day and during a Morgan Minute they were talking about Hollywood and their movie adaptations from video games. She was babbling a bit and then out of no where I hear her mention that they are making a Heavy Rain movie. Honestly that is going to or at least should be insane. I am wondering how they would make the plot work because if anyone hear has played the game then you would know that your actions affect how the story plays out and basically everyone that plays the game has a different experience. There are even 5 way the game can end if my knowledge is correct.

Also, I'm curious on anyone's thoughts in regards to this movie project and if they have heard any more information it it themselves .

Yeah, I've heard about it before. There are also talks about making an Uncharted movie and an Assassin's Creed movie iirc.

- The 3DS will be out in Japan on Feb. 26, 2011. It will have two color options - Aqua Blue and Cosmos Black. It will cost $300.

The console will have a built-in tag mode and a mii system. You can also download Game Boy and GBA games via the Virtual Console system.

No release dates have been announced for overseas yet, but the 3DS will probably be out in March in the US and Europe.

- Capcom made several 3DS game announcements/updates - Mega Man Legends 3, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, Resident Evil: Revelations, and Super Street Fighter IV 3D.

RE: Mercenaries will have worldwide online co-op.

- Metal Gear Solid 3D will be out in the spring next year.

- Tales of the Abyss will have a remake for 3DS, which means that it won't be released in the US.

- Here is more info about the Mario Collection special pack. Nintendo will also release a LE Mario Red DSi.

- Valkyria Chronicles 3's cast info and description is up. The main enemy for the Nameless is the Calamity Raven.

- Nintendo will also have a special Mario Anniversary Wii console to celebrate Mario's 25th anniversary.

- Some interesting tidbits about Kirby: Epic Yarn. According the producers, it was not originally a Kirby game.

- Sony released a new trailer for GoW: Ghost of Sparta. It also reveals that specially marked boxes will have a exclusive downloadable voucher for a GoW III skin of Kratos's brother, Deimos. The Ghost of Sparta Entertainment Packs and the Ultimate Pre-Order bundle (available only at the PS Store) will have this skin as well.

- Starcraft II's next expansion pack, Heart of the Swarm, won't be out until at least 18 months from now according to Blizzard.

- There is a rumor that Dreamworks is interested in making a movie based on the Halo franchise. The movie would be based on the novels not on the game.

- A Prince of Persia HD Collection will be out in Europe.

- Capcom celebrated the Ace Attorney series's 10th Anniversary by renewing the official website and opening an anniversary one. They also hinted at a collaboration.

On one of the webpages, there is a book titled Majo Saiban, which means Witch Trial.

- New Yakuza Of the End screenshots are up.

- Kojima tweeted that he is currently working on a new project.

- According to this poll, around 32% Japanese thinks the 3DS's price (25,000 yen or $305) is too high.

- MercurySteam is already making a sequel to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Konami has not commented about it yet.

- Capcom is having a Mega Man Legends Heroine Contest. You vote which heroine character design you like to be in the new game.

They are also hiring anyone who is interested in working with this project. FYI, the job is temporary. The job requirements are:

- Manage the relationship and translation between the Japanese and English versions of the Developer Room.

- Be an avid Mega Man fan.

- Have written and verbal fluency in Japanese and English.

So yeah... I can't apply for that job.

- Producer Keiji Inafune (Onimusha and Dead Rising among others) talked about how he hates his job and wants to retire.

- Capcom and Level-5 revealed what their secret project is... Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney!

The location of the story will be Labyrinth City and it will have a medieval setting to it. Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi will be in charge of the project.

More info are available here.

Official materials released by Level-5 promise a game that that puts players up against puzzles with contradictions. The "puzzle" and "contradiction" theme are recognizable as, respectively, key words from Layton and Ace Attorney.

The game's story has Professor Hershel Layton and Phoenix Wright (Ryuichi Naruhodo in the Japanese version) finding themselves in a different world. They come to the medieval city of Labyrinth City, where reality and illusions are intertwined. This strange town is also home to witches, who hide in the shadows, and is a place where magic is real. It has also been home to a number of impossible occurrences of late.

The city is controlled by a villain named Story Teller. The story he writes with his pen becomes reality as the future of the world.

Layton will find himself faced with all new puzzles. As for Phoenix Wright, the person who seeks his help this time has been accused of witch craft.

The trial that takes place in this world is "Majo Saiban," or "Witch Trial."

According to this interview, Level-5 came up with the idea.

- Speaking of Level-5, their game, Time Travelers, will be for the 3DS.

- Ni no Kuni (Another Country)'s new gameplay systems are revealed.

- More Prof. Layton and the Mask of Miracle info are up.

- Fantasy Life has been announced for 3DS. Yoshitaka Amano and Nobuo Uematsu will be involved with the game.

- Kojima has been tweeting about various subjects (e.g. the differences between eastern and western video game companies, his projects, etc.).

Wow, so much information as usual Riki .

Just to focus on one thing I really enjoyed the look of RE Revelations. I can't wait for that, it looks like it should be a good looking game. It looks like a full system game but now handheld. From what I can tell that seems like she is playing as Jill in that part. I'm curious to see more about that game and the 3DS .

As for Playstation Rewards, I would be very happy with that. I already have gotten quite a bit of free things through Club Nintendo and I would love to be able to do that type of stuff with my Playstation games .

I'm a member of Club Nintendo and Square Enix Members though I think the former is better. At least you can "buy" goodies with your earned points; SEM points are used to buy clothing and accessories for your avatar.

Anyway, here are the gaming news:

- Keiji Inafune announced that he will be resigning from Capcom and he will leave at the end of the month. He will still develop games, however, and he did express interest with working with Level-5.

Meanwhile, Jun Takeuchi, producer of Resident Evil 5, got promoted.

- Mega Man Man Legends 3 announced the winner of the female hero contest. Click the link to see whose creation won.

- Ghost Trick will be out on Jan. 11, 2011.

- Sony announced a LE of Killzone 3 called Helghast Edition. It will contain:

* Authentic Helghast Helmet replica opens to reveal art book, Super Voucher and Killzone 3 game.
