Yea, obviously its going to be around in December, but in order for the sales of an item to be maxed out, you want to have it release a short time before the actual Christmas Season, so this way more people will end up buying it during that season.

For my I got my PS3 (slim) for Christmas last year with Assassin's Creed and Modern Warfare 2.

This year I asked for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Castlevania LOS .

assassin creed brotherhood is alright but can tell it was rushed..castlevania i enjoyed .

Well its hard to say. Black Ops hasn't been around long enough to get the title, maybe it could, who knows. Overall I can see Red Dead Redemption as a contender but I'm not sure if it deserves best game per se.

Based on the trailers, Uncharted 3 will be out on Nov. 1, 2011 and Resistance 3 will be out on Sept. 6, 2011.

Just as I suspected. November 1st is a perfect release date to maximize sales for the Holiday Season . Now I already know what I'm asking for Christmas............next year .

It looks good, trailer is intriguing. We got some very brief gameplay footage as well and that looks promising. Honestly can't wait to see more of this game. Most likely E3 2011 will have a lot of info on it based on timing of its release, but hopefully we will get some more insight before that .

Has anyone played epic micky yet? The game has had no less than fantastic reviews to say the least and over than I have heard it is quite decent. Would it be worth to try it? I don't intend to actually buy it new but if I get a good deal on an used one I wouldn't mind giving it a try if it actually is good.

Yea, I'm hoping to get that one for Christmas just because I heard it was so good. That, plus theres a huge nostalgia factor when playing the game . But yes, all the reviews I've seen for it have said it was a fantastic game, plus I haven't really gotten too many Wii games since last year (Super Mario Galaxy 2) so I figured I might as well try and get it.

You mean the camera angles? What you can't adjust it on your own? Or is it very awkward and often ends up messing you up while your playing?

Yep, it's the camera angle. I would walking and suddenly the camera angle would change so I would be looking at a corner instead. It would take awhile to fix it because I would try to back up until I get to see the entire screen again. If you push the C button, the camera is supposed to center on Mickey but that doesn't work all of the time.

Warren Spector somewhat addresses the issue:

"There are a couple of responses to the camera question. First, there has never been a game that I couldn’t break if you give it to me for 30 seconds. I mean, I will break a camera in any game ever made. And if I learned one thing on this project, it’s an immense amount of respect for people who have been making third person action and platforming games. Third person camera is way harder than I even imagined it could be. It is the hardest problem in video game development. Everybody gets it wrong. It’s just a question of how close to right do you get it."

"Second, cameras are different in different game styles. So in a platform game you want the camera up higher in a steeper angle because the important thing for the platform player is to be able to see the next jump clearly. In an action adventure game, like ’Zelda’ for example, you want the camera down lower so you have more tactical awareness because there are enemies out there. There are traversal problems that require a tactical awareness that a high camera does not provide. So platformers and action adventure games have different camera requirements."

"But here’s the deal, what I try to be completely clear about is that this is not a platforming game. This is a game that takes platforming elements and adventure game elements and role-playing elements and merges them. So we couldn’t tune the camera perfectly for platforming or for action adventure. It’s a very different camera style. What we did is try to find the best compromise in the moment and give the player as much manual control as we could. So we took the hardest problem in third-person gaming and made it harder by trying to accommodate two different playing styles."

"The bottom line is that we did the best we could given that we were not trying to make a platform game or an action adventure game, but a game where you get to decide what the game felt like moment to moment."

gota say im bit letdown with mass effect.

again it a battle for earth which we seen so many times in sci fi films or games...

mass effect was unique trekking round galaxy..now it one planet...i know it prob be last half of game but meh could been more original.

Looks like Dragon Age 2 is going the Mass Effect route and dumbing down virtually all RPG aspects. I'm not particularly happy with the direction Bioware is taking DA, if I wanted a streamlined action game with RPG elements I'd play ME2. Dragon Age was good because it was the tried and true western RPG mechanics at their finest...why change that for a something completely different? They're alienating half the fanbase with these stupid decisions

oh well at least there's still Deus Ex and the Witcher 2

The Kollector’s Edition will include a Sub-Zero and Scorpion figurine, an art book, and DLC that adds an exclusive Mortal Kombat Klassic Kostume and avatar costumes. The Tournament Edition will include all the stuff in Kollector’s Edition alongside a portable fightstick; however it will limited to 20,000 copies.

- Kotaku interviewed Naughty Dog about Uncharted 3. Joystiq also have more details about the game. According to the developoer, this game is a "Drake and Sully story".

We somewhat find out who the new enemy is.

In the gameplay demo we were shown, as Drake navigates the old, overgrown French mansion, he's attacked by the game's new antagonists. We don't know much about them yet -- Hennig said they're a "shadowy order with a cunning leader who manipulates through fear" -- but we know they've got cans of gas, which they pour on the mansion and then light up with Drake and Sully still inside. Drake is left to climb through the burning house with his old friend, and as he moves from room to room, you can see his animations change -- he bends over while walking to stay out of the rising smoke, looks at and shakes his foot when he steps in a flame, and touches a wall to steady himself as he passes by.

- Sony hinted a little bit about the PSP2 and PS Phone. I guess they are going to reveal the Playstation phone as Xperia Play in Feb.

- Castlevania: LoS will have DLC packs. The first one, Reverie, will be about helping Laura defeat an evil that was kept at bay by Carmilla before her death. The second one, Resurrection, will explain what happeend to Gabriel after the ending of the game. He will also face a final showdown with a notorious enemy. They will be out in Feb. and April respectively.

- BlazeBlue: Continuum Shift II will be out on the PSP

- More Valkyrie Chronicles 3 anime info is up.

- Blizzard discussed about enemy encounters in Diablo III.

what is Con and Pros in Call of Duty: Black Ops or Medal of Honor ....

Nintendo World 2011 is going on right now so there will be a lot of 3DS info. ^^

- Nintendo has updated the 3DS specs. The battery life will be 3-5 hours but you need 3.5 hours to charge the handheld completely. You can also transfer digitally-purchased software from your DSi/DSiXL to your 3DS; however, there will be a limit to it.

- There will be eight games for the launch release. They are: Nintendogs + cats, Winning Eleven 3DSoccer, Combat of Giants Dinosaur, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition, Samurai Warriors Chronicle, Puzzle Bobble 3D, Ridge Racer 3D, and Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask.

- BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II will be heading to the 3DS as well. I guess there will be a PSP version and a 3DS version.

- Here is a live blog detailing Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater.
