I wonder is Insomniacs game will be a shooter or more like Ratchet & Clank, can't see Spyro get much attention this year too.

Nintendo E3 press conference will be live at 9 AM PDT Tuesday. Microsoft and Sony press conferences will be today; the former will start soon (9:30 AM PDT) while Sony will be later today (5:00 PM PDT)

Microsoft Press Conference:
- The first trailer is Modern Warfare 3.

- Next game is Tomb Raider and there is a demo

- EA is up next. It looks like they're mostly talking about EA games (mostly sports) for Kinect

- Sim Pets will have Kinect Voice Support

- Next is Mass Effect 3 and it will have voice recognition and Kinect Support

- Ghost Recon trailer is now airing. The game is called Ghost Recon: Future Soldier

- Ubisoft is up next. They are showing weapon customization for Ghost Recon using the Kinect. All future Tom Clancy games will have leverage Kinect.

- XBox Live is up now. They feature XBox Home, Music, and Video, which can be controlled by voice or gesture.

Youtube and Bing are going to be on XBox Live. XBox Live TV is announced and it will be out this fall

I like the idea of the new console being just nintendo. It's simple, identifiable and most people already call everything nintendo lol. Nintendo did mention the new console will add a bunch of new things to gameplay so perhaps it would work in having 'nintendo" associated with all of that.

To me the main problem sony had with the PS3 was that it did not add anything new. It was basically an improved PS2 and not a thing else. The PS3 does indeed do everything and the PSN is a great thing (except for it being hacked recently) but the fact of the matter is that most of those things have nothing to do with playing games or at least they don't add much to gameplay. Entertainment is all about experience and even if will was significantly less powerful than the PS3 and 360, the wii experience was far more richer than either the PS3 and 360. The move was nothing but an attempt to add the wii experience to the PS3 and even if the move is in fact awesome and perhaps actually better than the wii controller it does not change that nintendo had the right idea from the start. The kinnect was actually a better attempt than the move and more along the lines of what game companies should be thinking these days but due to perhaps some hardware limitations the wii still came out on top. The fact of the matter is that nintendo is the only company that has done some significant innovation as far as gameplay goes while microsoft and sony have yet to leave their mark in that area. It's a shame considering that as far as technology goes sony and microsoft should have an edge over nintendo. PS4 and xbox 720 could be ten times more potent, do more stuff than their predecesors and actually make popcorn and nachos with hot cheese for you but as long as they don't actually add anything good to the gameplay experience they will see the wii vs PS3 repeat itself all over again saleswise.

Battlefield 3 looks f*cking amazing. October release, that's how you show Greedyvision how it's done. And I'm waiting for some OverStrike gameplay, love funny action games.

Got no problem with Halo 4 and the remake, more good looking Halo is always nice. Hope it will base on the Forerunners as the new Cryptum trilogy is coming out right now too. And they are showing more MassEffect 3 gameplay on GT now. Just nine more months.

Sony Press Conference:
- First up is a montage of all of the PS3 games

- Jack Tretton discussed about the PSN outage. He thanked the third party publishers for their continuing support and apologized to the consumers for the PSN issues. According to Kotaku, his apology is not on a teleprompter.

- All of their games will be playable at E3.

- Sony will now offer CinemaNow service

- Uncharted 3 is up now. You can access the multi-player mode early if you visit a Subway store this fall. It looks like Elena and Chloe (?) are back.

- Resistance 3 is next

There will be a Res 3 Sharpshooter bundle on Sept 6 for $150, which includes a sharpshooter, a move controller, a navigation control and the game.

- There will be a GoW Collection. It will be a remake of the PSP games and it will be on the PS3. This collection and the ICO/Shadow of the Colossus collection will be out in Sept.

- Sony has announced a PlayStation branded 3DTV display, which is 24 in and was developed specifically for PS3 users. It will be available this fall. The monitor will include 3D glasses, 6 foot HDMI cable, and Res 3. It will cost $499. Additional glasses will be $69.99

- Now they're focusing on Move games

- Next is inFamous 2

- Now is Starhawk, which will be out early next year

- A new Sly Cooper game is revealed! Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will be out next year

- Dust 514 is confirmed to be PS3 exclusive and will be out in 2012. It will connect to EVE Online.

^I think that is just a concept of what people think the new Nintendo console may look like - not the real thing.

- It's confirmed - the NGP is officially is known as Vita. Here are some of the features: a 5-inch organic light emitting display (OLED), front and rear cameras and touch panels, GPS, SixAxis tilt functionality and two analog sticks.

It will only cost $249 - not bad. The 3G/Wi-fi version is $299. Unfortunately, it looks like AT&T is the only provider.

Vita comes out this holiday.

They showed off some Vita games - Ruins, The Temple of Serpents, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, LBP, etc.

There will be social interaction via PSN, Facebook, and Twitter

- A new Bioshock game is coming to Vita.

- SF x T will also be on Vita. Cole from inFamous will make a cameo in the series.

- Some games that were shown during Vita line-up trailer are Shinobido 2, Dynasty Warriors (placeholder name), Project Gravity, and and Dragon's Crown (many believes that it's the Vita version of Grand Knights History).

Maybe Dragon's Crown is a sequel to Princess Crown?

- It's implied that Wipeout2048 will have augmented reality features

- BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II Plus is coming to Vita

Nintendo Press Conference:
- First up is Zelda's 25th Anniversary. They are showing all of the Zelda games and have a live orchestra playing the theme song. Nintendo is going all out, huh?

Link's Awakening will be available on the eShop by the end of the day. The Legend of Zelda 3D will be out next week; it will have hint movies and Master Quest.

Legend of Zelda Four Swords, which is a four-player co-op, will be out in Sept for free while Skyward Sword will be out during the holiday for the Wii. There will be a gold Wii remote available during the launch.

To celebrate Zelda's 25th Anniversary, Nintendo will have a symphony concerts in all of the regions around the world. Dates TBA

- You can get the free Ocarina of Time OST, which is based on the concerts and will be used in conjunction with the release of Skyward Sword, if you're one of the first customers to register the game at Club Nintendo. More activities will be revealed later on.

- Iwata is discussing about the new Nintendo console. They want a wider reach than what they have for the Wii. The new console will be out next year, which was to be expected.

- Now they're showing a montage of 3DS games - Star Fox, Super Mario Bros., Kid Icarus, and Luigi's Mansion.

- They are showing five 3DS games - Mario Kart (Release Date: Holiday 2011), Star Fox 3D (release date: Sept.), Super Mario 3D (release date: by the end of the year), Kid Icarus (release date: later this year), and Luigi's Mansion 2

- You can battle other players in Kid Icarus and it will have AR cards.

- Luigi's Mansion 2 will have more mansions and 3D effects

- More 3DS games: Ace Combat 3D, Tetris, Cave Story 3D, Resident Evil Revelations, Driver Renegade, Pacman, Galaga Dimensions, Tekken, and MGS Snake Eater

- The biggest download from 3DS eshop is Pokemon. It will offer an enhanced Pokedex 3D, which will have 16 Pokemon included. You can get the rest by using spotpass, scanning AR markers or through exchanging with friends. It will come with the system update and some clicks to get to the complimentary Pokedex

- Finally they revealed the new Nintendo console's name - Wii U. They also show off the new controller, which seems to confirm the rumors.

Wii U will be Wii compatible and you can use the controller to continue playing the game if the TV is unavailable.

The Wii U controller has: two "circle pads", four shoulder buttons, rumble, touchscreen, microphone, peakers, accelerometers, gyro, and inward-facing camera.

The images on the controller are generated by the Wii U wirelessly transmitted without latency to the controller. You can also use the controller to video chat.

- It's implied that they will be making Smash Bros. for the Wii U and 3DS but it won't be in development for awhile since the team is busy with Kid Icarus.

- Now they're showing off Wii U's graphics

- A new Wii U game - Super Mario Bros. Mii. Your Mii avatar can play alongside Mario. Other games are Shield Pose and Chase Mii but all of these games are prototypes.

An official Wii U and 3DS game is announced - LEGO City Stories.

More Wii U games are announced - Batman: Arkham City, Darksider II, Assassin's Creed, EA Sports, Dirt, Aliens Colonial Marines, Metro Last Light, Tekken, Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, and Ghost Recon Online.

Cause it's not a Wii 2 probably? It's an HD console with an unseen feature, most probably able to play Wii games too.

So far sounds like the highlight of E3 for me is how awesome the PS Vita sounds.

• Graphics capability comparable to the PS3
• Touch Screen functionality.
• $300 price tag
• Dual Analog sticks(FINALLY!!)

The only thing i don't like about that news is the dumb ass name. Why couldn't they just have gone with "PSP2"? "Vita" sounds too much like it should be the name of some male strip club down in Key West somewhere.

Because it's meant to be full of live, PSP2 would be as lame as it get's, but goes well with the inability of producers to give the console a "new" name, most of Nintendos prior codenames were awesome.^^ Plus it works as the fifth Sony gaming product: PSPV. They did show some of both Uncharted games on Gametrailers today, may be a worth to check it these days.

Wii U? I guess there are a million numbers and over 20 letters between wii 2 and wii U lol.

So the graphics are merely comparable to the PS3? That is mildly disappointing although its not like we will be seeing games that require more than that within the next decade lol.

Not sure whether I like the controllers though. Too big and they seem kinda uncomfortable. I don't like the idea of having to change my where I look between the tv and controller either. I do like the idea of the controller serving as a portable game thingy. Very practical to say the least IMO. Wonder how the motion control bit will work though. The controller does not seem to be as practical as the wii or move in that regard.

Yeah, i heard that bit(it's also "life" Italian by the way; and it's "la Vida" in Spanish.). Still don't like the name....

Part of what i don't like about the name "Vita" is that it's a common word in latin and therefor a common word everywhere(on account of how many languages originate from latin). I'm not a fan of having a handheld gaming console with the same name as a character from Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha and the IRS's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

Another part of what i don't like about the name is that it reeks of marketing. They are obviously naming it to help link it to it's marketing plan, which is just a super-dumb idea IMO. I don't think companies should ever link a product that closely with a marketing campaign in the technology sector, because there is an excellent chance they are going to want to change the campaign at some point(especially considering the market lifespan of stuff like the PSP). Marketing campaigns come and go but a name stamped on a console is there to stay.

It's the ol' tattoo rule......
"Stuff that you thought made you look awesome when your were 21 can end up making you look stupid when your 50."

I think they should have named it something neutral. That's the beauty of the names of Sony's most successful products PlayStation, PS2, PS3, and PSP(. The names were all descriptive, they just tell you what the system is; no more, no less. Making them marketing neutral. So they can market it, and re-market it, however they please. The same was true of the iphone and ipad. "Vita" is much less flexible. I think PSV would be a better option....but that's not what appears to be stamped on the consoles.

- Namco Bandai has announced a PS3 exclusive game, Tekken Hybrid, which is a Blu-ray compilation consisting of the upcoming Tekken: Blood Vengeance CG movie, an update of the original Tekken Tag Tournament in high-definition, and other unannounced content.

I finally saw the trailer of how the new controller and wii u in general were supposed to work and I have to say I loved the whole thing. My initial skepticism basically banished lol. I still do think the controller seems kinda uncomfortable though. Also, there are times I would prefer a pure controller so to speak. It does seem like the wii controller will still be used though. I guess the new console combined with the wii motion plus will provide some serious gameplay capacity. I do think nintendo ought to consider another improved wii controller though.

I think u,or wii(),will get used to it.I still remember how weird the wii-mote looked like.I was not able to imagine how you are supposed to play with a remote,but i got used to it pretty quickly,even though it was unusual.
I agree,it does seem rather unhandy,but i'll just trust Nintendo.
