A multi-player map called "Warhouse" is being hinted by the developer.

Is anybody else watching Dust 514?

It's a free to play FPS game coming to the PS3 that ties in to EVE Online (which is a spaceship MMO, I guess). The cool part is that the FPS parts and Spaceship parts can actually work together as one package via the EVE Online economy. So essentially players of Dust 514 can earn in-game money by essentially working as mercs for the EVE players (ground forces for hire) and the EVE players can earn in game money from the Dust 514 players by delivering space based assistance (such as airstrikes) fired from an entirely different game.

It blows my mind that they are doing all this as a Free to play game for PS3 and it's the first FPS game in a while that has me legitimately excited. A big problem with me and FPS games is that I get no feeling of accomplishment other than repeatedly headshotting some D-bag whose spamming the voice chat until he quits. M.A.G. tried to address that by experimented with a system that allowed victories to carry some meaning but it didn't really work all that well. It seems like Dust 514 is trying to achieve the same thing by integrating it with EVE Online and it's dynamic economy.

If they pull this off it's going to be an unbelievable achievement and making it Free to Play means when it comes out there really is going to be no reason not to try it. I'm very excited,

I see there were a bunch of layoffs at Sega. I'd like to be sad about that buuuut seeing as they still refuse to port over the Valkyria Chronicles III I feel that is karma giving them a spanking.

I mean, why Sega? I want to buy it! The previous game sold quite well. Why won't you let me throw my money at you! Why are you so determined to localize games like Yakuza: Dead Souls instead, which I would not play if it was free. Why?!

VC2 didn't do as well as Sega wanted so that's why they don't bring VC3 overseas even though I've heard the game is much better than VC2.

It was a success though, sales-wise. I don't know what their expectations were but it made money. If they are concerned about overhead costs they could release a digital only version or something. They would have to make a fair bit of money on that wouldn't they?

I mean, I suppose there could be dubbing costs to consider but if that's too much make it subtitles and Japanese langauge like the Yakuza games. I wouldn't mind that one bit.

Valkyria Chronicles II was by far my favorite game for the PSP and the fact that there is a supposedly better game just sitting there collecting dust that SEGA refuses to localize just kills me inside.

There is a rumor that Sony is creating a game called PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, which would be similar to Super Smash Bros. The game is supposed to be revealed at this year's E3.

Space Pirates and Zombies is pretty good. I think it's like $10 on steam.

those kind of game are not appealing anymore. it's was appealing for nintendo cuz nintendo has plenty of charismatic and popular char ( mario, link, pikachu etc....)

"There have even been numerous accusations that EA and its ilk deliberately hold back game content with the sole intent of charging a fee for it at a later date. It's one thing to support a game with new content that is worth the price. It's another to put out an inferior — and occasionally broken — product with the mindset of "ah, we'll fix it later and make some money for doing so."
Amen to that. the same thing pissed everybody with Capcom, they released a 20$ dlc to unlock the SFxTK character who were already on the disk on the release, but blocked so u have to pay for it.

Screw Attack has a clip making fun of EA and its tactics (e.g. acquiring new developers and milking their products until they're no longer making money).
