That's what I mean exactly. Eating and sleeping are 2/3 of a healthy body... oh fuck i'm screwed!

I'm too tired to think clearly and she's 12.45am oh god, off to bed. 'Nite!

(Yes, clock/watch/whatever is ALWAYS a girl, you can't take it away from me!)

@ Arrogance I see your point, so let me tell you what I eat. I eat eggs, fish, turkey, strawberry, banana, grape, apple, pineapple, tomato, potato, broccoli, cheese, yogurt, whole grain bread. My liquids would be water or milk(2 percent love milk). I been on this diet about 9 months.

@ Blai Eating and sleeping are 2/3 of a healthy body, then what's the other 1/3?

the other 3rd would be working out or exercising....at least I think thats what Blai is going for with his thirds statement :p

As for your diet it doesn't look too bad, obviously its not healthy either to eliminate all fats from your diet either cause there goes that second line of defense I was talking about. Its just a matter of eating the right fats or just not too much fat and you'll be fine.....its ok to break out a burger or a steak once in a while too :p. You don't need to completely cut those out of your diet, just have it in moderation and you'd be fine.

Anywho, I'm no diet expert, but I have a decent understanding of it, I just personally don't follow one because I don't have the will power to do it, lol. The best diet-like thing I've ever done was cut out all soda and other drinks and just drank water for like 5 months, that combines with my workouts was a great combo, but now I am weak and I missed the sugary greatness of a good soda, so I gave in :( But I still drink water everyday though cause it still helps :D

The problem i have for eating healthy is when i go to a restaurant i always order the salad(no dressing). My friends just hate me for not enjoying good food with them now and then. It was incredibly hard to cut out junk food in the beginning because i had sugar withdrawals for two weeks, i would compare it to a people trying to stop smoking. I fear that if i eat a "fun" food even once i would go back to my bad habits.

Don't overdo it Akiyama ^_^ It should be fun to be healthy! You should actually treat yourself from time to time. But I do the same, when I was in South Africa (known for the huge steaks and the amount of meat they eat) I took a greek salad like every time we went out and they thought I was like either anorectic or that I had a girl inside of me that wanted to keep a track on my figure. >.>

But a pizza every now and then (like, rarely - once every 2nd/3rd month or something) should be allowed. Though salad is a hit when you're eating out on dates because the girls think that you're a good guy or something like that, I haven't really got the hung of it yet but they like it if you take a salad of some sort.

I think I'm actually going to write down everything I eat from today to sunday, not the amount of grams but like, a bowl of spinnasch or something like that so you get the big picture of what I'm eating and then come with suggestions and stuff. 's that okay? :wtf

@ Akiyama: Yea, you really should be ok. There is no need to be so hard on your self over this cause mental health is important too :lmao. Why drive yourself into the ground mentally to make sure your healthy physically, see what I mean? You don't need to be perfect either, you should just be healthy to the point where you can be happy with yourself cause thats what matters the most :D. Like you figure if the food thing doesn't work for you, you can do what I do and put a lot of energy into your workouts instead, its a decent alternative that won't bother you with what your eating, but the trade off is that you need to physically work hard then. I'm not saying I've got no fat on me anywhere, thats not true, I've naturally been big because I was a line man in (American) Football, it was my job to eat a lot, be big, and be strong. After getting hurt though with my knee injury and then having surgery, I had gained a lot of weight and lost a lot of muscle for that good 2 years of not being able to be as active as I once was. So I don't see myself ever going back down to 210lbs, thats all over with, so where I'm at in my life, is working out for strength for a few reasons. Strength training is fun cause your pushing yourself to get to the next level and use higher weights, and with that you get the nice trade off of getting in good shape and being strong and having a decent figure :p. Point of the matter is I'm happy doing it and that should be part of your diet as well, you shouldn't mentally struggling in your diets cause then while one part of your body may seem like its getting into shape and healthy the other is failing as in the mental health category. So just be careful and try to find something that not only gives your results, but also makes you happy in doing so :D

I'm so use to eating healthy I don't even take a second look at pizza or any junk food. I feel like I've changed my personality so much that nothing in the world is sweeter than an apple to me. Eating healthy is just apart of my life now, I don't have any cravings what so ever for "fun" foods. The only reason I work out is that I get this nostalgic relaxing feeling from working out. Setting goals for myself and achieving them is another reason that i workout. The bod is just leftovers of determination. :D

Seriously. I get depressed and stubborn if I'm not working out n a regular basis. That's actually something that I noticed just recently so I'm going to stop with my break and go back to training... It's like... at the gym it's just you and the weights, or the running track / pathway when you're running and the biggest problem is in your hand.. (the dumbbells or whatnot) and your only obstacle is to lift them and stuff. There's nothing else. It's like a mental feeling of relief, almost like yoga (if you've ever tried it.)
The pain combined with the pleasure of maximizing your body and giving it your all is one of the best feelings ever to be honest..

I'm addicted :scry

HAHA, yea it gets like that. The only problem I ever seem to have is to making sure I actually go workout, getting myself into my basement to workout is the hardest part, once I'm there then everything else is easy, for me I just need to get myself started and I need to stay disciplined in order to make sure I follow the schedule I've set for myself. And I agree, the feeling is great, working your muscles to failure. I especially love that pump feeling you get afterward. I especially do workouts at night often before I go to sleep just because its the best time of day for me (and I'm a procrastinator at heart :p) so after I'm done with my workout and get that insane pump, there is nothing better than going to bed with that feeling of feeling successful and good all over :D.

QQQQQQFFFFFFFTTTTTTT!!!!!!
Honestly, to get ur ass to the gym is a B*TCH. But when you're there you get motivated :x I'm very used to working out before going to bed because with our icehockey team we had practices from 7.30pm to 9pm and then working out at gym from 9.30pm to like 10.30-ish. You got home, ate some cottage cheese or whatever, and then flung yourself to bed and sleeping good :x

But I also like to work out around five-ish. Maybe take a 2hr pass then with some running for 30mins before you start and then 30mins as the last thing you do before you're done and in-between it's intense manly testosterone-flowing maximising WEIGHT LIFTING!
And honestly, I can easy drink 2-3litres of water while pumping just so that I'll sweat even more and get the whole system running.
The shower afterwards is also like a frigging beast if you let yourself "aftersweat" some while catching your breath somewhere >.>

Being skinny sucks... you need to gain weight to properly use the protein so you actually get "big." Working out skinny only gets you toned, and half the time you never see the results.

So I go GOMAD, drink that milk milk milk and you get fat... REALLY FAT. So just a tip out there for ya skinny's like me :P

Dieting doesnt work, its changing your life that does. there needs to be a balance, neither skinny nor obese somewhere in the middle where you feel comfortable!!

Michael Phelps is the most insane athlete in the world. He has to put away at least 10,000 calories a day (= to a family of four) just so he can keep the weight on and practice swimming. Just think about it, you could eat whatever you wanted to all the time, but in exchange you have to swim for hours on end. That just shows how much he loves to swim.

Yes, that is what I was saying early with what I do for myself. I'm not a person who could really diet, I do love my meats :D and I don't think I could give it up. The alternate route is to just work very hard in order to put the calories of what you eat into good use. So far I'm doing a pretty good job with that :D I would like to be a little more defined though to add to the muscle mass I already have achieved but that would take a little bit more of a different approach I guess.

If it's required to swim for like 2-3hrs and then do workout and running every day in exchange to eat ANYTHING i want as long as I eat enough vegetables and fruits.

It'd totally be worth it!

edit: I found out i eat around 1thousand kcal less than I have to to keep up >.>
But I kinda cba to eat more because imo I DO eat enough and I eat both breakfast, lunch, dinner, and then something late around eight pm.
So I eat at six am, maybe a sandwich or just coffee at ten pm. Then I eat at 1pm, 5pm and 8pm.

lol, the only thing is the issue that eating anything could slow you down because you may not be eating the right things. And you may have enough energy in you to burn off for those intense workouts but there is that chance that those "anything" meals could in turn weigh you down a bit making it harder to complete those tasks. Phelps doesn't just eat crap, he eats a lot of meals and thats the key, its not like hes going to mcdonalds everyday for those calories :p
