I'm not joking. I am obsessed with them. I mean, I didn't know you could get addicted but apparentely you can. It's like smoking. I can stop for a week or two but after that I need it again =(

Good think I'm eating low calorie ones and low fat ones and whatnot... There's actually sour cream & cheese ones that are healthy :x

Oh, and popcorn <3333 It's awesome and it's like corn and air only :x

Michael Phelps eats a lot of "crap", seen footage of him eating tons of hamburgers and pancakes with syrup. But he can get away with it.

His diet is very much calculate to keep his weight up. He expends enough energy each day that it's hard to eat enough. I've had this experience before. I spent all my money on food but had to struggle hard to put on one or two pounds of muscle.

Anyways what you won't see him consume are a lot of garbage calories like candy, soda, he'll consume a lot of protein, fat, and complex carbohydrates. Protein for muscle repair. Fat for energy - it's most of his energy when swimming. And carbohydrates for anaerobic bursts.

I don't panic because I don't lose kgs but instead lbs :p. I could lose some weight so its not a big deal for me. The only thing I hate losing is muscle mass. Like I didn't get to workout yesterday cause I've been working all weekend and I'm freaking out a bit now cause I'm a day behind and threw my schedule off.

BTW, I'm going away on vacation this friday to Croatia, and I'm freaking out a little bit cause I'm not sure how I'm going to work out while I'm away. I would love to bring dumbbells but there is a weight limit for my bag on the plane and I'm afraid that I may go over the weight limit. So I'm trying to think of ways to get a quality strength training workout while I'm away from home....Any body have some suggestions on things I could try doing?

That's what I mean. When I lose weight, i'm getting freaked out because I'm afraid I lost muscle-mass... >,>

Well, just use your body while working out instead, it's the best work-out. You can work your body even more without any equipment, as you can with equipment. If you're close to the beach I'd suggest running alongside the beach, where the sand is kinda hard because of the waves, and you can do the usual routine... I don't know it in my head but you'll figure something out. Try find a place where you can do chins!

O God, chins aren't my thing because I weigh a lot. I work out my back but I'm personally too heavy to do chins, lol. Some sort of weights would be best for me so I can still get the quality workouts that I normally do, but its just a matter of the weights might be too heavy for me to bring on a plane, so I'm trying to think of other forms of resistance that I could go with.....resistance bands are light weight and may be good for traveling purposes but I don't know if the resistance may be enough for me. As for the beach, I'm not close enough to one even though i will be going at some point, and the running wouldn't solve my weight training issue even though it would still be good for workout purposes....so weight training is what I'm trying to solve right now.

Chin ups are harder than pull ups but it also depends on how far apart your arms are.

Do push ups while on vacation or find a local gym or something.

Trust me there is no gym in the area, pushups are probably gonna be part of the rutine, but then I still need to worry about biceps, triceps, shoulders, back, etc. Which is what I need some sort of resistance for. I want to bring dumbbells which would solve everything but my bag will probably weigh too much then :(. O this is such a crisis, lol.

Instead of using buckets to build sand castles use them as weights. Get two buckets fill them with water get a pole of some kind and wha-la your instant weightlifting device. :p

Okay, since I have my duty to attend the mandatory armyservice starting next January, I've started this weeks (actually today morning) to work up my horrible condition. It's not like I am overweight, actually I'm a bit underweight, but darn I get exhausted easily. It's been downhill since I stopped playing football (soccer).

For starters I'll start to wake at 9 a.m. (I used to go by 1pm. to 1.am schedule) and go for jogging about 45 minutes. God it was torture, I'm soo gratefull for my iPod that eased it a little bit. But after shower and breakfast, I feel fantastic. More perky than in a long time.

I think I'll go for a bit lighter biking session at evening, and might even pull of some push-up/sit-up session afternoon. But the biggest challenge will be tomorrow when I'm supposed to pull the whole set again. And the Again, and again... I must again be gratefull for my iPod ^^

I think I'll leave weekends for recovery though.

^Well notice how you feel great after eating breakfast....I think one of the problems you may be facing with getting so exhausted is lack of energy. As you said, your not overweight so I understand thats not the issue for your exhaustion. I think if you take in a few more calories (carbs especially) you may end up helping out your exhaustion issue. Especially if your saying how great you feel after eating, that kinda suggests to me that that may be part of the issue. SO EAT MORE!!! I know right, your in the getting in shape thread and I'm telling you to eat :p.

^Yeah, I know diet is almost as important as the actual exercise. And I think the biggest problem for me isn't that I eat too little, but too irregularly. For several occasions I haven't eaten for a day, and then next day consumed crazy amount of stuff, and then a again a day with just snacks. But I'll stop that now and plan a proper diet ^^

^Ahhhh i see, yes so I was close then :p. A steady diet that gives you the energy you need to get through all that conditioning is the key, otherwise you will just be drained. Eating some carbs the night before might do the trick as well. This way the next morning when you need to to all that conditioning your body will have that energy ready. Pasta should do the trick and some breads ;).

Dark coarse rye bread! Not the light shit.
Lots of diary products and water - cold water.

Small meals, 4-5 / day.

Happy face and awesome songs on your mp3 ofc

start a martial art. doing it is very healthy and if you combine it with jogging and fitness, you can shape your body very effective. of course you must have the will to do it.

a balanced diet is very important. if you can't restrain yourself of eating much and unhealthy stuff, you must have a workout of an olympic champion to sweat the calories off.

1. do not eat until you are full, but close before. the feeling of fullness comes about 20 minutes later.

2. try not to have a dessert right after the main meal! the sugar will be used in your organism and the calories from the main dish stored as fat.

3. try not to have 3 big main meals a day but 5 small meals during the whole day. example: breakfast, fruitshake, lunch, fruits, dinner.

4. do not stuff yourself full with sweats, canned food and chips. every once in a while is ok in small proportions and if you have nothing else to eat.

5. search for healthy alternatives! if you feel like eating sweets buy yourself dried fruits or nuts. it has a lot of energy and is more healthy for yourself but NOT overdo it. it has enough calories, too.

6. DO sport! it doesn't matter what as long as you have fun and will to do it!

wow I really want to start a martial art, or devote myself to a sport, at least.

I'd have wanted to start with Ultimate Frisbee, but I'm too shy to introduce myself to the existing team.

anyway, yoghurt's really good for the diet. It helps metabolism and all. I walk regularly, about 2 hours in a day, and my stamina and endurance has really improved. I want to up my game and hike/trek, trailblaze, or sprint (which I do once in a while).

also, burpees. it's the prison workout. It is a really fat-blasting, muscle-toning workout that doesn't need equipment or space.

So far I've lost the total body fat I targeted, but I need to concentrate on shaping my abs and legs and butt, which is really hard :darn

That's the stuff. In Finland it has been part of daily diet since... ever. We consume that stuff hell a lot, and it has been the daily bread always.

So, I've been now changing my appetite, jogging 5km every morning, pull a short fitness set afternoon, and something lighter at evening (basketball, cycling, etc.)

Yeah, I thought of starting martial arts or a sport of sorts, but with my financial situation its quite a challenge. I've been though throwings some hoops as light evening exercise, but it isn't exactly the same thing :D

Ultimate is nice, they have few teams here too, but I have no idea if it possible just to join, they seem more like group of friends who eventually formed a team, than an official sport team, with organization and all. Maybe I should search for more info. We have frisbee golf course nearby, but that isn't really sport to get in shape. ^^

For some unknown reason I have a slight interest in kendo, even though I have never done any sword stuff. And its even more expensive than the majority of martial arts... But seeing them exercise it on the field by the lake every morning.. It looks so darn cool.
