i thought we were talking about indoor Volleyball teams! for beach volleyball teams i'd pick Byakuya and Yoruichi as a 2 'man' team:P

tomorrow'll be the next tournament, much harder because the other teams are at least from the same leauge, some are even from a higher leauge. But we'll inaugurate our new jerseys!

just came back from a tournament. First place ^^ (though it was kinda unfair because we were the only team from our leauge...our opponents were all from lower leagues.

But of course. All manga borow from other manga. It's just the nature of any art-form or literature. It's very difficult to find truly original ideas in any manga. Still, you are right, it's similarities with Naruto are a little susicious, especially considering he's kishimoto's brother.

You could say that it's just coincidence. Or that he's simply using themes that are used often. There are many great manga that borrow from eachother.
Trigun revolves around a character who refuses to kill, and while his persona is goofy and ultimately he calls himself a pacificst, his skills are unmatched and can also be literal human weapon (or typhoon). Remind you of someone. The answer is yes, it reminds me a lot of Kenshin.

That's just one example. Certain themes are always repeated. You could say that naruto stole the idea of having a beast that transforms him from Inuyasha when Tetsuaiga breaks. Of course, I think that Kishimoto did not steal this idea, he came up with it on his own, and if it bears similarities to other manga, that's because it's a commonly reccuring theme. In Bleach, Ichigo has an inner demon that talks to him (his hollow form, if I remember correctly). This also resembles Naruto.

i must disagree with your opinion about bleach and Ichigo... his hollow self isn't much more stronger than he is.... it is more than his hidden pottential and he is not demonic with the form that Kyuubi is DEMONIC in naruto >< if you know what i mean. hollows aren't something rare yet Bijuus are only 9.

this reminds me of what my IP lecturer once said: there's no 'original' idea left in the world. we re all building on the ideas and thoughts of others.

I guess the same applies to the world of manga as well

the tournament was much better than Saturday. We didn't made the first place, but 3rd is okay as well. as the a team from the lowest league on this tournament
we kicked asses twice, had one opponent that we could have beaten (but we were too dump to actually do it. which is annoying because it was the first team of our club which playes two leauges higher than we do, and we are the second. would have been cool to kick the first team's asses...next time!) and we got our asses kicked once. but that was okay, the other team was much too strong for us, there was no chance XD yet we played well against them, so it's really okay

and yeah, we are a good fun loving/ass kicking bunch XD or at least i'd say we are :P

you misunderstood, of cource hollows are demonic but not as demonic as the Bijuus are. right? Bijuus aren't just demonic.... they are demons themselves
