I think its crazy how on this website quite a lot of the people dont come from England or America but know English so well!

What about the Australians? (No, I'm not an Aussie ) Don't feel bad that some people are fluent in another language. It takes a considerable amount of exposure and studying to do that.

Is it easy 'cause I'm curious. I don't know anyone outside the internet who speaks it. Heck, I don't know any Swede IRL.

My friends' brother's girlfriend is Swedish...and she's really pretty O.O big blue eyes, dark hair, tall, thin. And she's a sweetheart, too ^^

Remember the first book of the Dark Tower series is very different from the others. Which others books are on your shelf? I have a couples of books by Tolkien and many in English, wich isn't my mother tongue.

life of pi by yann martel, 1 cookbook (smoothie, juice and shake), 7 dark tower books, a graphic novel (bone the ultimate collection), 1 star trek book (the vulcan language), of mice and men (john steinbeck), hitchiker's guide to the galaxy, one hundred years of solitude, the importance of being earnest (oscar wilde), and a friend sent me a new book by mitch albom (for one more day).

i need a month without work to read all of that... *sigh*

"hitchiker's guide to the galaxy", this book is a must read for me, but I have it in english and I fear it will be too difficult for my english.

I want to aswell...but it takes too much time!
I did French and German at school but i dropped them coz to be honest..i wudnt really use them for anything.

That's the curse of English native speakers... People will always talk to them in English.
When I left Italy and went to Costa Rica I didn't know one word of either Spanish or English. In 3 months I was speaking Spanish fluently and in 6 months English. All thanks to survival needs. ^^

I agree. One day, I want to go to a country where I want to learn the language, perhaps japan...who knows, and REFUSE to speak english. Immersion is the best way to learn a language.

Company policy…

Start with a cage that has five monkeys in it…
Hang a banana in the middle of the cage, and put stairs under it.
Soon, one of the monkeys will start to climb the stairs to get the banana…
As soon as he starts climbing the stairs, spray all the monkeys with cold water!!!
After a while, other monkey will try to get the banana too…
As soon as he starts climbing the stairs, spray all the monkeys with cold water!!!
After that, if any other monkey tries to get the banana again, others will stop him!!!
You don’t need the cold shower anymore!!!
Take out one of the monkeys out of the cage, and bring in the new one.
The new one will go after the banana as soon as he sees it, but to his surprise, the others will attack him!!!
The new one will probably try to go after the banana a few more times, but don’t worry, he’ll be attacked every time he tries…
Now, the new one knows that he’ll be attacked if he tries to go after the banana!!!
Take out one more of the old ones, and replace him with the new one!
As soon as the new new one tries to get the banana, the others including the previous new one will attack him!!!
The previous new one will participate in this attack with particular enthusiasm!!!
Slowly replace the remaining old monkeys with new ones…
Every new one will be attacked for trying to get the banana…
All the monkeys that are attacking the new one have no idea why they are doing it…
And since you replaced all of the original ones with the new ones, none of these monkeys were sprayed with cold water!!!
And, yet, no one from this new found group is going for the banana!!!
Why??? As far as they know – that’s how it’s always been done there!!!

And that’s how company policy is created…
