Is it easy 'cause I'm curious. I don't know anyone outside the internet who speaks it. Heck, I don't know any Swede IRL.

nah, swedish is apparently one of the hardest languages to learn if youre not from here and thats understandable.. we got a bunch of weird "rules" in our language that i dont think any other language has plus we got 3 extra letters in our alphabet.. so its not easy to either teach or learn.

yeah its swedish. it says: Do you understand this? then you know swedish.
and for pronounciation.... the first word Förstår, F like in english Ö like the i in first.
RST like in english. Å, wel i guess O would work. and then a long R in the end.
i dont have the energy to explain the rest

thats true, my mother tongue is german, although 7years of english made things (almost) quite as easy as yours... and japanese as 3rd language rocks everything, that language is just as easy as...............company policy(don't ask why, it's 1a.m. and any word that would fit in here is just missing in my mind)

BUT what i actually wanted to say, if i here children at the age of 5 speaking english in our so called "s-bahn" (a train that drives in short stations across the city)at a speed that i can barely follow, i'm really impressed and got the impression as if these kids will getting easier along in the world.... at least as far as language is concerned... omg

My mother tongue is Indonesian, obviously. But my mom insisted that i learn english, she also taught me some French, Dutch and Arabic when i was a kid. But thanks to her, I can cough up enough confidence to speak english the first time i got lost, which was in Singapore when i was 13. After that, most of my English lessons comes from comic books, tv and movies. Who says you learn nothing from reading too much comics and watching too much tv?

Btw, congrats on your 50th post, Sangiovanni.

Well, back to work again. I'm currently contemplating leaving my work to read my books, but alas, my deadline's on Thursday. Work sucks, but it pays... *sigh*

I miss downloading and uploading manga & comics and I miss MH!

Im wiht you, my english was mostly learned by reading coomic books, listening to groups like green day and nirvana, and watching Cable TV

yeah! that is the power of media! i also learned a lot of english from entertaining mediums such as comic books and television. heck i even learned some words and idiomatic expessions from Magic: the Gathering Cards
