rabb, well but you live in new york, so it's harder for you to get to the beach. I live about two, three blocks from the ocean, and a longish walk from the nearest beach... my only excuse is that it hasn't seemed to be all that hot yet this summer

Pirate!! definitely take the whole damn next summer as vacation and go to the beach!! you deserve it!!

rabb, I'm crying for you!! that is just tragic, not seeing the ocean!! wow, that makes me realize how much I've taken for granted where I live. I mean, every time I drive from my apartment to my family's house, I drive over two huge bridges that go across the bay, and I work in a shop that's practically sitting on a pier. Maybe I'll post some pictures of my town for you all, it's really beautiful here at this time of year

and bax is right, course I wouldn't mind visitors, especially visitors who are good cooks pervs are no problem, they'd just have to sleep outside. it's the zombies I'm really wary of

ya, see, i suck at cooking anything that isnt meat, and i know how much of a carnivore you are, and you wouldnt be minding me, cus i'd be sleeping on the soccer field. i can tell you from experience that bleachers do not make good beds!

I only touch the Atlantic Ocean twice in my life. once was in Virginia.. (I was not even in a real beach) second was in Florida (which i only had 30 minutes in the ocean for a 9 days vacation)

remembering that horrible trip..

leaf peepers!! I never realized how true that episode of Family Guy is until I started waitressing, and had to deal with all of them

sweet corn or corn on the cob? hmm.... well, I'm no corn expert, but I think there is a type of corn that's called sweet corn, and corn on the cob can be any kind of corn as long as it's still on the cob....? Maybe I'll go ask a farmer next time I go to my apartment, there are lots of corn farms out there, and not much else (hooray for living in the woods!! )

oh, we had our tourist season in Greenfield, as well. we're right on the Mohawk Trail, and you've got those "see for three counties" towers, and almost all the towns are covered in trees, hills and mountains, and the Green and Connecticut Rivers going threw... it was very picture-esque, so we got 'em, too. and as far as i know, they are the same thing. but only people in Mass say sweetcorn, i guess.
