If you want to see thing going nuts because of a soccer game... come to Peru, specially when Universitario de Deportes plays againsy Alianza Lima.... all the houses that are near to the National Stadium end up with broken windows, broken doors, the walls painted.... there's always a fight between the fans....
That's why now the police are taking the fans in trucks to the staidium.

If you want to see thing going even more nuts... you can go to a soccer match from the Copa Perú, which is the 2nd divition tournament... the fans always throw stuff to the players, like rocks or bottles, those matches usually end up in a fight between the fans, it's total chaos.

nothing happens! i mean they are supposed to be top athletes and all they do are fall down and cry when someone touch them, not tackle, touch.....
and that is lame in my book. if they changed the rules so that tackles were allowed so all these hollywood soccer players would just stop, then id watch

That's what I always have said!

Atleast in hockey they have solid reasons to whine, 'n' boxers never whine, martial artists whine alot less then the average athlete in general if they whine at all, can't recall ever hearing/seein' one whine...

Well there are alot of sports that's no fun, like table tennis, a friend o'mine actually bougt the game for X360 'n' he'd rather play that than Gears of War or DOA4, dumbass...

But atleast Sweden vs. Denmark last time was pretty eventfull.

Playing table tennis (irl ofcourse =)) is made of win, watching it is another matter, but watching J-O Waldner play in his glory days was always interesting.

I've always thought that was really funny when they do that. Robin Williams had a great skit about it

I don't think soccer/football is boring at all though. I just wish it was more popular here in the US...

Sweden was up 3-0 when Denmark made a comback to 3-3.
With one minut to go a danish player hit a swedish player in the stomach, got a red card
and sweden got a penalty kick. But before the penalty kick could be taken a danish supporter runs on to the field and tries (and partly succedes) to punch the umpire in the face. The umpire then stops the game and has a conferrence were its decided to be swedens victory with 3-0 and the danish team also got other kinds of punishment, like a fine and no spectators at their next game. It was craaaazzzy.

The danish supporter was actually living in Sweden and he later said he was so drunk (15-20 beers) that he didnt remember anything (yeah right). Man oh man does the danes (danish?) hate him so much, the guy feared for his life.
