At the rural areas, where they grow the tress, you can even get a huge basket of durians for just 10 ringgit = less than 3 US dollars

hahaha.. a fren of mine has a uncle who has a plantation and he brought back baskets full of durian.. but he didn't give any to me!!

speaking of which, i watched this episode in Discovery about this loose foam (foam!) that collided with the wing of the NASA spacecraft, and caused a whole that disabled them from re-entering the earth's atmosphere. Back then the computers weren't sophisticated that nobody knew about it. So when the spacecraft attempted the journey home, when it tried to enter the earth's atmosphere (imagine how close it was to being home), it blasted to a million pieces, and the people inside never knew they'd die that way.

Yeah, space travel is still much much risky. But I wonder what happened to Virgin's plan to make that space tourism a reality

space tourism?? well it's a good idea but obviously normal people won't be able to afford it.....

we're not just talking about the price here.

space travel requires that you be at top health (like climbing mount everest) because you'd be subjected to a lot of conditions that aren't like any normal day on earth.

well i saw this episode once where they said that it would be faster to get from one place to another on earth if like, you ride a spacecraft up say, from one country, and back down another. International flights would cost minutes, they say.

Az, that toilet seat was from Mir, which was russian. and that happened to be a good show... for a while, anyways....

space tourism XD i read a while ago an otaku was one of the first space tourists. he cosplayed as char from gundam on the trip XD

as for really fast inter-planetary trips... that depends on how far along the Aurora project is. for those who aren't up on their conspiracy theory, the Aurora class jet is a plane that can circumnavigate the world in about three minutes, using some highly experimental pulse engine. *shrugs* there is no doubt that it exists, despite the gov't doing a good job of keeping hush on it, but 50 years down the road, people are gunna be like "wtf is so special about that?"
