man, i teach math and sunday schoool and sometimes kids don't listen. its like they test my authority or something. Anyone got any ideas i can keeps these kids in check without me yelling or beating them up. I deal with elementary through high school.

we didn't have anyone named "ichigo" until this month? thats weird... anyways, remember: violence doesn't work. scaring them sh*tless does, though. i had this one teacher in ninth grade that had it down pat. when we were too loud and he was on the phone, he pulled the phone out of the wall, when he heard us whispering when he was writing on the white board, he'd slam his fist into it, if we talked as he passed, he hit the desk, if you fell asleep in class, he'd get everyone's attention, and real quiet-like get have an inch away from your face and scream. that got a laugh out of everyone, especially if the kid falls out of their chair.

the only other advice i can think to give you: don't try and be their friend, just be cool. teachers that try to force you to be their friend are the most made fun of out there. poke fun with them at other teachers (only the ones that don't mind it, though), make fun of them, and make fun of yourself, too. not being a teacher, i cant give you any real or better advice, thats just what i observed from high school @.@

@ ichi, which brains are better, the smart kids, the dumb ones, the boys, the girls, the transfer students, or what?

thanks rabb, you make a good point about not trying to be their friend. Its the 6th grade boys that for some reason are crazy. I once said, no one is leaving until the each boy says one nice thing to a girl and the 1st boy called a girl ugly , it everyone had a similar answer. oh well, i guess you just have to have patience.

And yeah its cool no one took this name, there are bunch of ichigo{something} but none just Ichigo, swipe!

I have a question...
I have new pictures... using a recent invention that a I made with a friend. We called it the Flux Capacitor, because just like the Flux capacitor in Back to the Future, it has an Y shape and it also makes you travel through time and space... with the help of some water, fire and some "magical and happy" plants.... but I don't know if I can post a picture like that in MH.

You should fill up the tub with warm water, put some bubbles in it and some mineral salts if you have, put some relaxing music (like clasical music) and get in the tub.
Try to relax, don't think about anything and you're going to get sleepy and ready for bed in no time.

If that doesn't work... take a diazepan or something like that.

And talking about busy days... I'm going to sleep too. I have to go to work tomorrow morning.

I wanted to post some pictures of an invention that a friend and I made. But it's something considered illegal in a lot of places because it envolves the use of a kind plant that makes you "happy".... so I can't post the pictures.

What's diazepan? Is that sleep drug?

Diazepam is the same as valium, bromazepam, lexotan, etc. A sleep drug and your best freinds when you desperately need to sleep ad you can't because of insomnia or whaterver.

Oh! I totally forgot to brush my teeth... I was so sleepy I even forgot to take out my contact lenses. Now my eyes are dried and irritated. No I have to wear my glasses, wich I hate. Why do I have to be blind!!!!

ouch, sleeping with contacts is the worst but glasses aren't so bad, hellbringer ^^ I used to hate wearing them, because I felt like a geek, but then I got a pair that I really like, that totally embrace the geekiness, and life is good...I wear them as much as I wear my contacts now, maybe more when I'm going to classes and stuff

I have considered wearing contacts. But, the problem is, I'm too scared to put contacts on my eyes cause I fear I might poke my eyes instead.... My friends wear contacts and I've seen them put them on and take them off, but everytime I see them do it, it sends chills down my spine...

Yes, i do teach english to a bunch of 6 graders. I've been teaching english since i was in highschool. Now i teach my youngest sister (who lives with my aunt) and her friends. At first, she's my only student, but like any other 12 year old, she got bored too fast. So i told her to ask her friend to study with her, and before i know it, there are 10 kids coming every Sunday. So i teach them english, a little math and science. But now i left the math and science to my cousin, she's better with those subjects.
