Well computer hardware isn't really expensive these days anyways. I probably have made enough in one sumer paycheck(i.e. two weeks of work) for a full upgrade.

The trick is not to buy "cutting edge tech" but "bleeding edge tech"

Well the prob's with my dad. He shares my PC, and stubbornly refuses upgrades until the gdamn machine*'s totally broken and cannot be fixed by any other means. By the way one of the RAM cards went to the "other side".

*Intel Celeron 2.0 GHz, 512 RAM (formerly 768), Radeon 9550/X1050 256Mb, 40 & 80 IDE drives, optical drive.

Ah well yes, there is such an attitude. Well normally what we do is we simply buy parts as they go on sale and eventually we get enough parts for a total machine build.

What exactly are you planning to do with the computer which would require an upgrade? O.o
