I use internet almost all the time I'm not sleeping and not in classrooms.
I am an addict. Internet have become my source of news, entertainment, friends, community, and life. It's so easy for me to watch entire season of Survivor online in 2 days time.....

well that's also a good point actually almost all of us uses internet to get acess to multimedia(music anime movie and some Porn)XD but Beside we must not forget that we primarily come to forum to enjoy ourselves and make new friends,and my point is we use internet so as to gain more friend and more to gain friends with different cultures..

I'd say we're all addicted to the internet in one way or another. There's just so much stuff on it >.>

If the internet dies at our house, most of us just don't really touch the computer anymore and go do something else lol Internet has become synonymous to computers for us >.>

Mind you, I can always play lose at Chess Titans when the internet is down

At my hometown i don't use internet much; when i start going university and staying at dorm, day by day i realized that the time i spend on internet increased, now i can control it(thanks to my grades)

haha no i dont control internet. I control my want. when your grades make you think that you'll fail the class, it becomes easy to control it. I'm going to university, i have responsibilty. that's enough for me to shut down my computer

Yeah well I think it works like that for most addictions or ticks. If they start affect your other duties or responsibilities in life, it's enough of a jolt to reality to put them aside sometimes.

I realised i was addicted to the internet and my computer when I started thinking about it everywhere I went >.< Sometimes when theres nothing to do I just randomly surf the net

lol, well there's just so much stuff on the net so it does make a place to go to if there is nothing else >.>

I'd say I'm addicted in the sense that I need internet for my entertainment and work purposes. I could live without it, but it plays a part in my life and I cannot deny that >.<

I mean, some of my friends live really far and phoning costs a lot so IM is one of the only ways I communicate with them.

Well i usualy spend more than 10hrs behind the pc but its not like im addicted i just dont have anything else to do when im home..iv got no problems stopping thought iv gone without inet for weeks but i dont see what the problem is.. its interesting in here and the word "Addicted" sounds ...I dont see what the problem is what are people complaining about (well iv only seen therapeutist's say thats its a bad thing but well they only look for more clients>work>money)i mean .. its better to be infront the computer than on the streets doing retarted stuff or sitting in a coffee shop for hours and hours with the stupid people who dont know how to even open Internet explorer and are not interested in any kind of information

I'm in the same boat as Forever-Melody - my work and entertainment call for it so there is no way to avoid it. Though I probably use it more than is necessary in my spare time and it is always the first thing I turn to for information and whatnot. So I can say that I'm addicted I suppose.

I don't like being without it but I have had times where its not been available for expended periods of time and I'm always able to come back to the physical world and function normally lol.

Honestly i know that i am addicted to the internet however i have actually taken steps to lessen me being on the computer so much since really it is a habit i need to break. Luckily i have a job and i spend time with friends more which is a much better way to spend my time than being locked in my room surfing the web.

I cant help myself sometimes, I just stay on the laptop for hours, checking emails or reading up random bullshit information and pictures online (though sometimes its quite educational) or manga. And facebook now feels like gambling, where you clicking on the link to your account is like the roll of the dice followed by the excitement of potential messages or comments, etc. Not to mention amazon.com and its endless amounts of good deals on manga, movies and games...

Can't say this for all kind of situations like this but most of stuff like this called "leisure" and leisure is the greatest thing to have in your life. You should be happy, not worried if you're addicted or not.

Sometimes I spend whole days, because of research/work or personal stuff.
I try to limit myself by signing out of most of my accounts, and checking them every 2 days...
(I had to keep MH, can't go cold turkey yet)

Anyways, I read an article before that said that if mankind can exist for thousands of generations to come that humans of the future will evolve into creatures with large fingers, hands, and heads, while the rest of our bodies will be smaller due to the computer.

I'm not addicted. I'm just bored out of my mind and the internet is the only thing around that's fun to do with all the crazy and random stuff that's just aching to be discovered. My sense of humor is pretty twisted and stupid at the same time, so the internet has a lot of stuff that entertains me. But when the Sun is out and there are better things to do outside, or I'm not procrastinating inside, I'm online messing around.

Yeah but jokes aside for me It's essential in my daily routine. School - we use internet during classes to look up information and for our projects. Go home, checking mail (very important these days for me, have to check my mail about 6times / day to keep in phase and touch with RSA), get on the forum to waste an hour, do homework's (on the computer since the only way to hand your hw's in is through mail) and then workout at gym, checking mail again and then the day's off basically.

well the first thing i do when i turn my laptop is go on firefox and this is when my fingers subconsiously open 3 tabs; one for facebook, one for mangahelpers and the other is for googlemail it's become a reflex, no joke...
