I spend most of my day on a computer; I do Multimedia and 80% of my work uses the PC. A typical day when I'm not doing schoolwork is about 14hours on a computer, mostly just random surfing and whatnot, nothing constructive.

On school days i turn on the computer right after i get home and then turn it off when i go to sleep. Sumwhat 6-8 hours cuz i stay up late sometimes. <_<
On weekends i mostly turn on the comp right after i woke up and do stuff on ma comp all day long. Maybe 12 hours or more cuz i usually sleep till noon on weekends. xD

With my new schedule and shit I spend ~7hours. Some hours on MH and a lot on finishing papers and reports. But I guess it's worth it with a graduation coming up in exactly a month :P

I am not count how much I spend my day in front of a computer a day. Maybe it is 8 hours a day.

About five years before I would say that I spend practically half of my day on the computer, but now I practically don't have time and I'm not that interested in computer, though during the week end it can be about 3 or 4 hours.

I usually spend an average of 3 - 4 hours per day on most days. Usually, when I first wake up, the PC is turned on to help catch up with everything from weather reports to news and email messages. Then I turn it back on later in the afternoon or evening when I might want to do something like browse Internet forums or join iRacing.com and play the racing simulation online.

However, this varies depending on what I'm planning to do on a particular day. There have been times when I may go practically all day without having the computer turned on because I might be working or have planned a day trip outside the house where I won't get time to be online. On other days, I may spend almost all day (usually about 4 - 6 hours at a time) with the computer. There have been times when I had a job which required me to be on a PC workstation at all times.

Not much actually. Not socializing anyway. Just working. So.. work maybe 6 hours and play maybe 2 hours.

During summer I work on the PC, so about 7 hours a day.
During autumn-winter-spring, about 1-2h a day, probably.

I`m on computer 3-5 hours a day now,cause my 2 brothers are using computer,and my dad too:P.
BUT NOOW ITS VACATION!I`m on home alone so i`m taking my time reading One Piece^^hmm,i think it`s 15 hours a day(FU,my eyes are gonna blow).
And yes,i`m addicted:P

As I grew older, the number of hours I play computer games also increased.

2nd year high school: 6PM - 8PM (2 hours at most)
3rd year high school: 6PM - 9PM (3 hours at most)
4th year high school: 6PM - 10PM (4 hours at most)
1st year college: 6PM - 11PM
2nd year college: same as first year
3rd year college: 6PM - 12PM
4th year college: 6PM - 12PM
now working: anytime I want to go home because I have the keys in our house anyway.

I've running it mostly from 15:00-21:00 (+/- 1h) currently, with off times of perhaps average two hours a day in which I do other stuff. This would sum to an average of four hours a day.

I'm arriving home at 14:30 after work and go to bed before 22:00 usually (as work begins at 6:00), so it's really running most of the time I'm home.
On weekends, there's more fluctuation to it.

If we are talking about the time I can stand myself in front of the computer, I can say that I can go for a maximum of 5 hours.

If ever I exceeded 5 hours, I'd start to feel very tired, exhausted, eye-strained, etc. My vision would start to blur and my head would totally ache.

I remember that I once got inflamed eyes due to computer radiation, as what my eye doctor told me. I had to use eye drops every 3 hours if I can remember correctly.

Now, during vacation, it starts at 1pm and goes until 10pm. So, 9hours here. When it ends (next week!) I will only have around 2 hours awake to spend at home, and since I have a family to talk to, I will only come online to check mails, and some online games...

when exams come, I may spend all weekend on the computer studying

Not that I don't have a social life, I just enjoy my free time better resting.

I just turned down two invitations to go to an amusement park from two different groups of friends because it's going to be just when school starts, and I know I will be tired. Or not really tired, but I would rather sleep all day (or play Ragnarok), specially when I need to wake up at 4am all week to go to university.

9 hours? What kind of eyes do you have? I mean, just 4 hours and my eyes start to strain already.

Anyway, my line of work always demands me to face my laptop (or computer, if I want to in a shop) amidst my fatigued from teaching. I had to usually sleep early morning most of the times.

and about playing games, I do that every weekend, probably 2-3 hours (4 at maximum) just for me to unwind. When I get caught in the game, I can get non-stop until 6 hours (but my head will ache later).

Well, I can actually stand staying 9hours straight on the computer, but I have a little brother and cat that usually call my attention, so the time is mostly distributed along the day. Also, I bathe and eat everyday, don't worry!

I only get headaches when I have to think too much (some mind games, chess and the like), but reading both plain text and manga doesn't hurt. If it does, I push my chair back a little or turn on some anime with dark background.

Well, I'm hoping you won't end up with a near-sighted vision like mine. LOL Just kidding. But of course, I'm advising you to control and limit your pc usage. It'll definitely put a heavy strain on your eyes.

Myopia? Yeah, I have it. But I actually got the degree I have (low Myopia) back when I still would at least watch TV. Mine is more associated to reading in dark places (manga at night!) and too close to the book (I was a weird kid, couldn't write without resting my head on the table)

As I said, I only get to spend this time online during vacation, not time enough for computer the year around. This is the first vacation I've had in years

For your headaches, try checking with your ophthalmologist if your glasses or lens are adequate; if they are not right for your eyes, they can even raise your degree, cause the headaches and raise the strain on your eyes.

Edit: ooh, I also used to see who could stare directly at the Sun longer with my cousin. His myopia is worse than mine

Unfortunately, I don't use my glasses in front of the computer (or TV). I have already accustomed myself in this "bad" habit of mine.


Vacation is nearing, I guess we can play again. I'll definitely go back to my 3 hours straight in the computer.

4 to 5 hours on weekdays, sometimes up to 6.
Really depends on what I have planned, I usually leave it on for torrenting and some downloads here and there.
Other than that, I visit this forum and facebook, find something to watch, entertain myself.
That's pretty much what I use the internet for..
