Discussion The "How Much Time Do You Spend on the Computer" Thread

um.. i go online mostly during the weekends and on wednesdays (cuz this is kinna my day to "unwind") and usually about 2 hours on those days. Though i tend to spend a bit more time on the com when im doing my assignments or when watching videos online (like a few episodes in one sitting) or when reading new manga (also a few chapters in one sitting) or.. when i'm really stress >.< (which is around the time i watch these videos / pick up a new manga... must try to get out of this habit).

I've been doing better lately and on average now I probably only spend my time on the computer for about 3-4 hours in the morning to noon. Sometimes I'll get on for at least a hour or two in the evening. Except for RAW Day, Fridays, when I'll probably stay on just to catch up on what's going on, as well as read the latest mangas. There's the occasional day per week when I'll probably stay on all day just to be lazy or chat with friends on MSN.

But it's overall a lot better than when I was spending every day on the computer for a full 12 to 14 hours when I was admin here. It's part of the reason why I stepped down. There's a lot more to life than sitting around in front of a computer ^^

Looking at your reply, I think I'm in front of the computer the moment I wake up till I sleep around 1+ a.m. But computer is required for work, so I guess that justifies the long time i spend in front of it. The only breaks I had from it are usually the weekends where I have to do real life errands and entertainment

Umm, since i am a Computer Science major and have a Senior project due come end of Nov., least just say if i can actually get 30min. periods away from the computer its a miracle.

I have absolutely no clue how much time I spend on the computer but I do know that ever since I joined MH, I've been on a hell of a lot more than I ever used to be

Too much time. Normally, I may find myself on a computer for several hours on a weekday, and I can spend almost an entire day on the weekend. Unfortunately, I have a hard time controlling this habit when something like exams pop up...

i spend too much time on the pc...50+ doing random things.. useful an mot useful thing that waste time..or totally forget the time as i could go on for an over an day before i realize the time i spend on the pc..

Probably too much, but if I had to guess, I'd have to say 6-9 hours a day. Every once in a while I take a break and only spend about a half hour on it(checking email mostly.)

woa! i thought i was the only insomniac/computer obssesed person hear... lets see, basicly when i'm not reviseing for my exams or staring at my ever growing pile of cousework, i'm on the comp...i don think i could live without my comp!
but because i have a sibling, there has been a rule that we can only go on everyother day,
so i have monday/wednesday/friday/sunday
bro has tusday/thursday/saterday...i think i have the better deal >.<

Besides sleeping, eating, and bathing, 95% of the remaining time are on computer.
The first thing I do in the morning once I wake up is to check my email. Yes, I put that even before my brushing of teeth. ^____^

As much as possible. I don't relize it but the moment I come home from school (3:00PM) I go on the computer and stay on until 7 or 8 PM.

The amount of time I spend on my computer is more or less relavent to how long I'm not home, but usually I'm on it for about 8-10 hours.
