Probably. I think the results were/are different, as well as the circumstances. Just saying that the reasons for doing it were the same, which is comfort.
Blai, were you absorbing the evil and becoming more evil yourself? Or were you just sort of disintegrating the bad energy once you removed it from the people? It's a weird dream! XD But surely the bad energy must have gone somewhere. You were becomming evil without knowing it!
It's only the one dream I remember quite clearly, then another where I can hear the slight whispers. The rest I forget the instant I wake up, which my mum thought wasn't good as she believed dreams were important and carried messages.
I can only tell you about my exp. I remembered almost every dreams. In fact, I think it is very much a part of me. Some part that I don't even want to admit. When I was younger, my dad had traumatize me with all the domestic violent. I ran away from home twice. And after escaping him, I always been on the run with my mom for a while. I think it was during that time, that there was a faceless monster manifested in my dream. I remember never seen it face but always knew its presence. I keep running and running and running and hiding. I could feel it looking, and its breathing. The risk of death was always there.
If I had a fight with someone or I was upset during the day, then that same night I would had an argument in my dream. And I would sleep talk and swear in my sleep. I used to speak vietnamese (according to my mom) in my sleep, but a few years back, I heard they are all in English, now. I only had one account of sleep walk, but I think it may have been someone moved me during my sleep. My desires also manifested in my dreams. But they all have one thing in comment is that they are not fulfilled. One aspect of this desire is material whether it was money or any sort of collection (manga, status, etc). I always wake up before the goal achieve. The other aspect of desire is more complicated. But since this a confession thread, I may as well. I guess it is a bit more mature rated.
My sexual orientation was as confuse as ever. At one point in my life, I thought I could still be a straight person. I thought I had a dream of having sex with a woman (only that one dream) or perhaps memories playing trick on me. But in my dreams, I always desire a same sex person. But I could do nothing more than being a friend. Because even in my dream, my fear and shame is still there as I am still me in my dream. Even if I dare crossed that nature, my dream would literally messed up and moved to the next scene. The background of the dream is just that violently opposed my desire.
Sometimes, I relive my memories in my dream. I meant, like a quarter of my dreams for some reason I stuck at being 11 (before I moved to the us) and hang out with my friends then. Couple last interesting notes, any dreams I had about water are the most memorable and fun. I used to love the going to the ocean as a kid but I never learned how to swim until coming to the usa. And I have many almost drown experience irl back in Vietnam. One of which, I was really close to dying. But any of my water dream is where I am most free. I could feel the wetness and coldness of the water in my dream. Here is some list of water related dream:
-Escape the mafia from my childhood home, ran away and escaped on a wooden raft down the river with a cyborg. This was strikingly familiar to Huckleberry Finn. At one point in the dream I came upon highways that are also bridges, the river is in between (but for some reason the current went up). I recalled seeing how the rich people living on the bridges while the beggar society living below. Toward the end of the dream, the cyborg and I stumble on a floating casino where both of us play dead because the mafia caught up. I wake up about the same time as the mafia was checking up on my body.
-(One of a more recent dream) Dreaming about going to an underground circuit, have very similar feel like Darren Shan. But sometimes after the circuit ended, I was alone there. The water is like defying gravity. It like those under ocean currents but floating up in midair. I just get in one and I traveled with the current, like a tube.
-Dreaming about swimming in a really weed infested lake. The lake has a lot of fishes too. Feeling really free. Also dreaming about a crocodile eating a horse (who doesn't have any limbs) (one of the crazier dream)
-Dreaming about being on a metal floating island. I was a young boy in this dream. The setting is dark and depressing. I think it was raining too but the children just play in the rain. I remember for some reason all of us diving into the icy cold water. There were metal fences in the water and we were diving to find keys.
-Dreaming about going to an ocean, I literally feel the waves. But it turns out that the waves were artificial and created by those gigantic water spraying things (that can be found on farms to water crops)
I flew in my dream couple times. But I don't know whether it was because I am too rational, that these flying seemed to be like falling or gliding slowly downward. But the exp is very surreal.
I went on adventure in my dreams. Sometimes it is just normal setting like school but I always felt like I belong in any of those dreams. Sometimes I realized I am dreaming. I could control it somewhat. But the more I try to control it, the more it will mess up and it will just transition into the next scene. Sometimes I wake up many time in my dream. But I was still dreaming. I had dreams like this before I saw Inception.
Sorry for the long post, but dreams are fascinating. I meant my subconsciousness is way more creative than me. The narration is interesting as well, because sometimes I view thing as a first person perspective but also as an all knowing third person perspective. But every action I took in my dream reflected on me. Like, I still have trouble lying in my dream. I still have anger issues in my dream. I would never hurt or kill a person (human) in my dream. There are things I just won't cross even if it was in dream world.
Oh, the Justice League dream on my last post was the day before I saw the Avengers. It was scary as hell, I saw Superman killing off Hawk girl. I saw batman (Terry McGinnis) half beaten with a bloody face. Martin man hunter showed up at the end to help me. But the best part was seeing the old Bruce Wayne.
As for the Avengers dream, I don't know if it has to do with all the zombies stuffs that was going on the news lately.
Hi xiaobao, your post about your dreams is very informative.
Maybe you considered trying lucid dreaming?
It's a process where you get to control your dreams, some dreams from your post seems to be like you were lucid dreaming.
esp:

The subconsciousness thing... I agree with that. I had dreams of people in my life last night and I was having fun with them(I think) and I think that is because I wanted to see them again.
However, I don't know how far the subconsciousness thing goes, as normal as my dream last night is, I still don't think there is any relation to my r/l unless I
try to link it somehow.

Another lucid dreamer believer! Zeltrax, have you ever had a lucid dream? I've tried several times, but never even got close to realizing I was in a dream in the first place. -_-
I even listen to a song about lucid dreaming to try and get myself in the mood, but it never works!
I couldn't find it on YouTube in English, but it's called The Dragon by Guggenheim Grotto. Awesome song though.
I don't know anything about lucid dreaming. Sometimes I am aware that I am in a dream. But funny in that same dream, I woke up in a dream and thought that I awake while I am still dreaming. I did try to control my dream sometimes. To an extent I could control the narration and people in my dream. However, the more my consciousnesses trying to interfere, the more the dream messed up and or I will wake up.
But I meant, I wouldn't know what it like to swim in the bottom of the ocean (I know how to swim but not scuba diving), or flying, or falling. My body would not have such an experience. And yet I literally feel those things. Falling is fairly common to many people, and my flying/swimming feel just as real. Yeah, some of the elements in my dream were indeed drawing from when I was awake. But other time, I astonished that where these unknown elements or ideas came from.

I am a pro lucid dreamer . Its like my brain never sleeps and the clockwork inside is always ticking. I don't know why it happens to me often, but I now know when to shake if they go bad. Sometimes, they are very...you know interesting .

I do the same thing in my dreams. I'm not sure how much of lucid dreamer I am, since I can't really control what goes on in my dreams that often. But if it's going bad and I want out I just "shake" and can wake up. It's hard to explain.
How many of you can wake up if you're having a bad dream?
I can't, sadly. If I'm having a nightmare, I'm stuck with it until I wake up or it ends. Sometimes it looks so real, it's scary. Ridiculous to somethin that could actually happen... I actually thought I was living in the world until I woke up. Sucks.
