It's been bugging me for a while: Why would these uber-ninjas work together especially when most of them seem to hate each other. Each member seems to have their own reason for joining with no real over riding theme as to why.
Uchiha Madara : Needed strong allies for his "eye of the moon" plan.
Nagato : Desired to use the group in order to usher in a time of peace.
Konan : Same as above
Uchiha Itachi : Probably didn't have anywhere else to go, and I would bet he was the one leaking information to Jiraiya about the Akatsuki.
Deidara: Was more or less forced to join, but seemed to enjoy his work and embraced their goals because he liked to blow things up.
Kakuzu : It was mentioned that he loves wealth and was even the "treasurer" of the group. So Power & Money.
Hidan: Likes to kill things and this group gave him ample oppertunity.
Orochimaru : Presumably to try and get his hands on Itachi's eyes.
That's as far as I could get, I still don't know why Sasori, Zetsu, Kisame are working for the Akatsuki. Any suggestions?
