Watching old stuff for the 1st time, due to lack of new content.

This film is very anime.

Could have been very good with more development.

Still better than most of what's out there.

I actually really liked Odyssey. Haunting athmosphere in right places, amazing ost, good acting, beautiful cinematography and a good message in our current time and environment.

I particularly enjoyed the Circe scene. I hope one day Nolan makes a full-fledged horror flick.

Not bothered by "historical inaccuracies", it was already a fairy tale when originally told. Armor details don't matter, and modern English wasn't distracting for me.

Also, I went in wholly expecting I'd be waiting for it to end ar 1h 45 minutes mark, but the whole 3 hours went flying. Wouldn't cut a single thing.

Agreed, the body horror sequence is insanely good. Samantha Morton as Circe is really good too. But, I'm afraid they'll campaign for Anne Hathaway as a Supporting Actress as well instead a of a Lead and that might overshadow Morton's chances.

Only complaint for me is that the the editing/cuts on the action scenes on Penelope's trial is dizzying and hard-to-follow.

The flashing lights on the storm when they escaped Thrinacia on the other hand is perfect even though it hurts my eyes, ngl. Lol.

The rumble/rumbling sound effects is so good at the cinema. It'll never be the same as to watching it at home.

Go watch it y'all.

Nolan will probably win Best Director and get the Best Picture again. But let's see how Dune 3 turns out or if the Academy voters would favor the The Sheep Detectives instead.

Honestly I would enjoy Sheep Detective win so much.

But seriously, pre-game is Neuville vs Nolan. Though half an year left.
