Oh, did I misread?
Dunno, he's just not appealing at all and seems to be boring.

The poster isn't great, but considering it's a movie about anti-heroes; I can see what they are going for, with that Usual Suspects-like poster. The teaser we got for the movie at last year's comic-con was very promising; so I for one am looking forward to it.
Also, Christian Bale as Moses everybody:

The movie Exodus is directed by Ridley Scott and is due out next December. This following Russell Crowe's role as Noah, we have ourselves a Biblical resurgence.
) and the performances are convincing which is a good thing since it is one of Gandolfini´s last performances (i think his scenes Animal Rescue are already shot)
Hmm, it´s not confusing per se, it is more like the script is all over the place. I think it was supposed to be fictionalized and more personal take on the abscam investigation but neither the investigation itself nor the characters did get much exposure and depth.I know a lot of people who liked American Hustle but still found it confusing. Did you find it confusing?
(I have yet to watch it, no spoilers please)
Yes, it's a real problem. Honestly, based on the ideas glorified in the movie, this is the kind of movie I would forbid to minors. The ideas in this movie are more dangerous than any porn or violent movie. And it's even more dangerous because it's based on true events.I can imagine the film being really solid; as it is a Martin and Leo collaboration. I read recently though, that it received some bad press as people found it glorified the true story behind the movie.

It is a glorification of ideas such as:
- drugs are great
- money is all that matters
- money is above laws
- men are pigs, women are sluts
There is no redemption of any character in the movie ... And from what I read about the true story, it's legit.

well there's still a lot more funnier scenes than that including the 'Lemmon Drug Scenes' and the introductory scene of Belfort's father
Haven´t seen Wolf yet myself but i generally disagree with a few nominations this year, like American Hustle for best picture and with that, Bale and Adams for best actor and actress respectively. While i also agree that "The Great Beatuy" was splendid, i would give the best foreign film to "The Hunt" with Mads Mikkelsen.Wolf of Wall Street is good but I don't think it's good enough to deserve best picture in Oscar this year. Either "Her" or "12 Years a Slave" should win, judging from the nominees. Kinda gutted with Phoenix being snubbed, but hey his relationship with Academy is not exactly in good terms so I guess that was taken into consideration too. Also, "The Great Beauty" should win Best Foreign Film, that movie is truly splendid.
Adams may deserve the nomination, but truthfully I would choose Joaquin or Oscar Isaac over Bale. American Hustle is entertaining, but definitely quite distant from being the best of this year. I also question Jennifer Lawrence nomination as well. I haven't watched The Hunt, but for The Great Beauty I'd say it's one of the most innovative films I've seen for the last couple of years, artistically as well as the plot. It's simply a stellar movie, and with "Her", are my favorite movies of this year.Haven´t seen Wolf yet myself but i generally disagree with a few nominations this year, like American Hustle for best picture and with that, Bale and Adams for best actor and actress respectively.
