it's absolutely "dünyayı kurtaran adam" ---> meaning "the man who saved the world" without any doubts.anyone has a doubt?go watch it yourself. if you can that is!
some facts about this film;
*this is a cult film which was officialy entittled as "the world's worst film" by the cinema authorities all around the world in 1984
*in some cinema academies,it's still shown in classes under the tittle of "how not to make a movie"
*the director himself commented on the film as "noone can ever shoot a film worse than this,it's also a success isn't it?i'm proud of my child,even though it's retarded ^^
a funny fact;
*there are also huge fans of this film all over the world.because most of the people think it's a sarcastic comedy film which makes fun of science-fiction movies(especially Star Wars) but the truth is, noone's intention was to make a comedy film at all.not the producer and neither the scenarist nor the director.they had the full intention of making a serious science fiction movie but the result came out to be just the opposite.at least,it was unbelievable silly and full of crap that no one could ever believe this movie was not meant to be a comedy.well i said enough, i really do advise you all to take a look on it.if you can endure the pain that is ^^

Benny & Joon. It's a really really nice comedy, I think you'll laugh very hard. The music to it is really good too.

What's Eating Gilbert Grape is a pretty good movie. Starring Depp and Dicaprio. Its kinda quirky... so unless you like "quirky" type movies you may not like this one, but otherwise its pretty good.

Brick.

An independent film. It's an amazing movie. Though the plot is really important so reading up on the movie will only spoil the experience. It stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt, who you may have seen in 3rd rock from the sun. Or Mysterious Skin.

The movie is basically a detective story, involving drugs and betrayals. It's not a brutal film like Se7en. If I had to compare it to anything I'd say it's kind of like Basic starring John Travolta. (another good movie)

Twist and repeat.

What's Eating Gilbert Grape has been on HBO quite frequently recently. Love that movie! Leo's so convincing.

Just saw Push. Have to say its different than what they advertised and quite unconventional. Definitely liked it.

Yeah, it’s hard to argue against most good movies featuring Depp being from the 90’s: What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Ed Wood, Donnie Brasco, Dead Man, Edward Scissorhands etc, the only real exceptions in my opinion being Blow and Sweeney Todd. Some might say “whooaa, what about Pirates?”, but know that I’m talking about the quality of the movies and not Mr. Depp’s performances, seeing as he’s pretty much never done a bad role, just starred in some less fantastic movies.

I just saw Bolt despite originally not intending to. It wasn’t all that bad, pretty much how I expected. As usual, what made me actually sit through it until the end was a few rather funny characters resulting a few rather funny moments in an otherwise quite unoriginal movie. It’s all been done before, and while this can sometimes be overlooked, this is just too much of a copy of too many movies for me to like.

Disney really should let Pixar handle the big animated features nowadays, because while they don’t always succeed in great movies either, most of the time they make it feel true and at least somewhat original (even the “someone is gone, find him” concept and similar). Not to mention the last two movies being some of the finest animation ever witnessed, WALL-E even being one of the best animated movies I have ever seen.

Speaking of which, is anyone else excited about the upcoming Pixar movie “Up”? The teasers don’t really tell that much about the contents but I hear from people who have seen screenings of it that it seems really good, and I wouldn't be surprised looking at said last two features.

I wonder if people are excited about TRON 2.0 as well? Has anyone seen the footage from Comic Con, holy sh!t does it look slick and epic. And Im not that big a fan of the original (even though I havent seen it in years...lol).

Went and saw "Doubt", "Synecdoche, New York" and "The Wrestler". To keep it brief:

Doubt had top notch acting, which is really what makes the movie so good, thinking about it afterwards. I'm actually surprised this movie was as good as it was, because under different circumstances I might just have hated it. This John Patrick Shanley guy pulled it off though. Never seen anything by him before but after this I'm keeping my eyes open for him. 8/10

Synecdoche, New York. Really, really... really. The longest two hour long movie I have ever seen. Longer than any three hour movie, that's for sure. If you've seen any of movies written by Charlie Kaufmann before and you think they can be pretty mind-boggling, that's pretty much how the first hour of this movie is. About halfway through it starts getting.. complicated, Kaufmann style. Except much, much more than ever before and I won't deny there were several times I had to let the "comprehending" part of me be, if everything in this movie can be comprehended. Nonetheless it's a great movie which had the whole audience laughing several times (lots of dark humour), and Kaufmann proves he can not only write those insane scripts, but does a pretty darn good job putting them on the screen which shows in his first directing effort. 8/10

The Wrestler is the best film of the great movie year 2008. Give Mickey Rourke and Oscar. Give The Wrestler and Oscar for best movie (or at least nominate it for heaven's sake!). I don't know what to say. Best movie I have seen in a very, very long time. Mickey Rourke is my favorite actor at the moment. No further comments. See it. 10/10

Finished watching Soul Men and damn that was one great motherfuckin movie.Bernie and Jackson made me laugh how I havent laughed in a long time.Bernie is a great comedian,I loved the part when he said "I see dog food in the pentry but I see no dogs... " and so on,that was so fucking funny,this aint the last time Ill watch this movie,shiiiiiiiiit,rip Bernie Mac.

Rewatched "American History X" earlier this week. No doubt in my mind, the best movie ever made. Loving the message of the movie for those who have watched it. And for those who haven't seen the movie go watch it

Just saw the trailer for Inglourious Basterds and I am fairly intrigued. Never thought I would see Brad Pitt in a Tarantino film. Too bad it's not scheduled for release anytime soon.

On another note, just saw "Wristcutters: A Love Story" and really enjoyed it. Interesting concept, good characters, and dry humor (one of my favorite types). I'd recommend watching it.

Anyways, here's hoping Rourke and Slumdog pick up Oscars on Sunday.

Went to see Push on Friday, I personally thought it was awesome, despite what the reviews say, the action was great, especially the market scene with the screaming guys.
