Has anyone of you seen the Japanese movie "Yougish X no kenshin" or in English "Suspect X"? What did you think?

I saw it on a flight from the US back to Germany. I really liked it, I don't know why, but I did.

Wow......it looks interesting..........I hope it doesn't end up like Burton's Willie Wonka though....it was just too weird....this movie seems to have potential though just as long as its done right

I personally love Tim Burton and Johnny Depp's brand of weird, so I wouldn't mind it too much if Alice in Wonderland turned out to be a little on the weird side. In fact, I think I'd prefer it. But it is Disney, so I can't imagine they're going to go too crazy.

Do you say that from a historical and realistic perspective or from a fictional movie perspective?

I bit of both actually, though leaning more to the "fictional movie" perspective. I should do some research to how much of it is fictional. Nevertheless, Angels and Demons was an excellent movie with action the whole way through and a good twist at the end.

Yeah It'll be awesome! If you've read the book about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory you'd understand why he made it so weird. I mean, the book itself was super-weird and the way he made it was brilliant. Though I wish he would've kept the oompa-loompa songs like in the 1st CadCF movie.

I agree with igtg, the trailer looks super-cool! And I think this movie will mindf*ck us all with it's weirdness (at least the litter older people, the younger ones won't care).... then again, Alice in Wonderland is a LSD trip lol ^^

i keep getting confused with Jim Camerons "AVATAR" and M. Nights "The Last Airbender". Im watching ComicCon clips and I was trying to search for the last airbender panels or news but the AVATAR keeps popping up. I was never a fan of Avatar the Last Airbender, but after I saw the trailer I thought I would give the Anime a try and its pretty good, and funny. Reminds me of part 1 Naruto a little

O I understand. I like burton, I guess just after seeing the original Willie Wonka which was a masterpiece, I just coulnd't handle the creepiness of his Willie. I think this movie has some good potential, I just hope it doesn't get overdone like it was with Charlie IMHO. But that creepiness/darkness factor is what makes it a burton film, as long as the acting is great and the movie put together well utilizing that darkness factor then I'll be more than happy with it.

Yep, we see the same weirdness in the demon barber of fleet street as we do in Charlie. It's fun but creepy in a way...

I think Alice in Wonderland will do wonders ^_^ *ha-ha-ha......*

Lelo, I surely hope it'll be good. Action + CGI + Animation + TLA = ????
Seriously, with M. Night Shyamalan it can either top or flop. The sixth sense is great, Signs is awesome, The happening is "wtf?" and Lady in the Water is "-.-"
So I don't dare to hope.

Can't remember the name but it's a film with Johnny Depp from late 90s, it is a thriller movie and JD is acting a bookstore owner and a very arrogant guy that gets a job to bring a very rich client a couple of books, for that he needs to travel around europe. Of course there are some other guys that are after the same books and it's very dangerous and a lot of traps, etc, etc.

You're speaking of '12th Gate' I believe. Or '13th Gate'...one of the two haha. Forget if it's 12 or 13. It deals with occult stuff too right?

On subject:
Umm...Donnie Darko is a GREAT movie if you want something to contemplate on for a while.

Animated movies...anything from Hayao Miyazaki!!!

Wooh, you really should check out Miyazaki, he is a living legend. Totoro, Porco Rosso, and Spirited Away are my favorites. Porco Rosso especially.

I think Snatch by Guy Ritchie id the very defination on 'cool'

And yea Donnie Darko is amazing, and you should really look up Hayao Miyazaki! My Neighbor Totoro was my first. My current favorites by him are Howl's Moving Castle, Castle in the Sky, and Princess Mononoke. His new movie (Ponyo) was released last year in Japan I believe, and is coming to the States on the 14th ^_^ I'm excited haha.

Tropic Thunder. If you want to laugh all the way to the end then you have to watch this movie. It's directed and produced by none other than Ben Stiller, and he is also starring in the movie as well. I won't say what the movie is about because then that would just ruin all the fun!

The movie is pure comedy.
