OMG that looks absolutely amazing and it has Zhang Ziyi in it and shes a great actress as well.
The costumes are incredible!! I'll definetly check this out!

It's about the ancient China dynasty. Plus it has some of Matix's "bullet time" too. It has been too long a non-english movie since Crouching Tiger Hdden Dragon being this good

well, IMO, Hero (starring Jet Lee/Li) is ok for an kung fu action movie. But The Banquet got an awesome story.

Haha! Hero is one movie i cant forget. Remember the scene where Jet Li and the other casts show off their sword skill in that room full of scrolls? I gasped (out loud) when all the scrolls crumbled from the shelves, thinking: "WTF?! Who's gonna put 'em up back on the shelves?!! AAAARRRGGH!!!"




At that time, i was working as a librarian.
But to my surprise, several classmate of mine from college also thought of the same thing when they saw that scene. We were too much into work.

flying daggers... i got very dissapointed in that one. it was beautiful. the scenery was just midblowing but the story didnt really do anything for me, and the endfight? one second snow and the other no snow, then snow again? was there something really poethic there i just missed?

I think it was they started shooting that scene and it wasn't snowing, then halfway through it started snowing, but they just carried on anyway.

Generally (not trying to be sexist or anything) I found that girls who saw house of flying daggers Really liked it. I enjoyed it, but the story wasn't NEARLY as compelling as Hero.

yep! the story of the house of flying daggers isn't as nearly as good as that of Hero. the story of Hero and the way it was delivered was great. plus

Had some great comedy moments and the fighting scenes were immense!!

Yup. I saw it. IMO, it could've been done better. Other movies by Stephen Chow is funnier than Kung Fu Hustle. But the special effects and fight scene is great!

I liked Kung Fu Hustle a lot... lmao when chow tries to throw a knife at the old hag and hits himself in the shoulder.


the last movie i saw was "tom yum goong". there is no real plot... but hey, isn't it all just about tony jaa kicking ass galore?
