Should I even comment of The Forbidden Kingdom? I mean, I only saw like that last half an hour, but what I kept thinking was, how is it possible to have Jet Li and Jackie Chan in a movie and it still suck this bad? It had a bastard child of Never Ending Story and Crouching Tiger feel to it...sprinkled with a bit of spice I might say is of the Dragonball Evolution variety, but I never actually saw that movie so I really can't make that distinction firmly.

I won't be watching the full movie I don't think, nor will I ever put DB Evolution into my eyes either, so...

I'm with u on the DB Evolution thing, I've only ever seen the trailer twice but I swear I'll never watch that film.
Turning a manga into a sucessful movie takes very little to make it flop, and though I don't much about that movie, I coulf tell from the title alone I was gonna hate it.

I saw the trailer for the Ne Karate kid with Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith; directed by Will Smith I hearn wtf??? Why can't they leave these movies alone?!
Man I feel like Hollywood is seriously lacking in creativity and just going " ooh, I saw Karate kid in the weekend, how bout we bring it back?" And every script seems to be recycling of previous movies.

Yeah and why do they think they can make a movie called The Karate Kid when the kid is actually learning Kung Fu and not Karate... Someone needs to get fired.

So you didn't watch Jackie Chan vs Jet Li? Frankly speaking I watched that film only to see this fight and it turned out I was right: they will make them do a tie xD

btw. but overally I liked the movie: Jackie Chan was Jackie Chan and his character of Drunken God was just pure awesomeness, just imagine Jackie Chan + Jack Sparrow ala Johnny Depp role = that character, hilarious and funny <like Fei Wong or sth xD>. Jet Li played nicely the monk, but his Goku was.. meh. The ending was nothing special with final clash and boys "revenge" - it's all predictable. Still, I enjoyed that movie <maybe because I thought about it as sth to chill out, who knows xD>

I just had to watch it to have proof to say it's pathetic if you compare it to the manga/anime. If someone doesn't know the a&m it still sucks, but all in all isn't sth someone would bash it me thinks <but I can't tell because I know "the legend", and to me just plainly sucks >

About Will Smith and his son: I know, he wants his family to shine, lately in almost all his movies he put his other son/daughter, like in "I am Legend" or "The Pursuit of Happyness",but.. I don't like that approach at all <even if I like him as an actor>.
About the movie itself: I find the combination Jackie Chan + some boy to be quite cool, if only the approach was.. different <I mean, they could call it, like Kusachu said some time ago "Kung fu kid" or sth - I wouldn't mind, the awesome old films are cool, but are also not so moderate, so refreshing the idea in a new way with Jackie would be awesome.. but with not so "i give no shit culture" approach : / But because there is Jackie Chan, the movie will be hit on box office <I mean, not some big hit or sth, but you know the drill..> Children and their parents will "buy it", meh.

If it's for me: I will definitely watch movie with Jackie Chan, but not this one in cinema, not this one

I watched the live action of Detroit Metal City last night and I thought they did an amazing job translating the anime to film. It was funny as hell, if even toned down a bit from the anime, and certainly down a many notches from (what I have read of) the manga. Still, if all movies adapted from anime to film that well, we wouldn't have Dragonball Evolution.

If you like metal at all, I think this movie is required. The guy they got play Krauser was so awesome... And the manager lady was pretty good too (even though she was probably the one toned down the most).

I was sad that they didn't include Capitalist Pig though. I love that guy.

re:Jackie Chan- I think he's only doing these roles so that younger people can remember him. I mean he sure as hell isn't doing it for the money, and he's already pleased his fans with his pre-hollywood material, so he's just got "being remembered by kids" to take care of.

I went to see The Book of Eli on saturday . I thought it was an alright film overall. The action scenes were awesome, not the most intense but still satisfying lol. I swear this film was influenced a lot by Fallout 3??? Damn, so many scenes reminded me of the game it was just crazy.

Yea, I guess your right. I would really like to see a full movie adaptation of Fallout 3. So many possiblities with the story lol. One day hopefully!

I watched Babylon A.D. today, I didn't like it at all.

Vin had some nice facial expressions and all, making him look very awesome once again.. but the movie itself sucked.

Yeah that's kind of why his career is swirling now. He looks cool and stuff, but he's totally type cast and can't really play anyone but that guy or someone exactly like him and he doesn't pull off the action star thing nearly as well as others in the same situation.

Maybe he should just start playing bad guys from now on...?

I think he was pretty good in Boiler Room, but he doesn't really do that many serious roles. I think he should, he's not half-bad at acting

Yesterday I watched Terminator 4 - Salvation. I couldn't watch, rather let me restate it. I cared not to watch it. Reason, the 3rd installment was disappointing for me. So I chose not see it when it was released.

The movie was much much better than I had anticipated. I like Sam Worthington more than Christian Bale in the movie. May be its me but Christian Bale make this hoarse voice that annoys me. He did the same in Batman.

Marcus Wright character was a nice addition. The movie itself was a bit different from its predecessors. How he was struggling emotionally and electing his human side, made this move worth watching. The end was nice as well. Overall, it was a good movie. Next up, Sherlock Holmes........

You're forgetting the most important detail of it all: the third one at least had an authentic terminator, while all the following ones don't. While it seems like I'm just being silly, I have to say that whenever I think of any Terminator movie I think of Arnold on a motorcycle. No Arnold is =(

Haha no its true. Terminator leads my mind to Arnold too, each time I heard that word. Well, we saw a glimpse of him in the end <.<. But I think seeing Arnold each time as Terminator was becoming somewhat monotonous, no?
