Am I the only one who never considered Lady Gaga's videos to be all that great? I mean, they've got cool cinematography and I've gotta admit the Telephone vid with the Pussy Wagon and stuff would've been pretty cool if it wasn't for the song.. but other than that, meh. :oh
Indeed. I never liked her vids. I mean, it's not like they aren't "advanced" or "impressive" but they're... Like... Irrelevant to the song. And weird. I'm always just sitting in a "wtf" state until the video is over. Cool or not, they are, from my point of view, useless. But that goes with her music. Her music are useless. Her songs doesn't have any emotions behind them, no soul, and a music video is made to promote the song's content, it's meaning and since her songs are basically mediocre, mainstreamed shit it's hard to make something useful out of a video.

For example, If I Were a Boy has a great video because it's simple, plain, and it strengthens the emotions Beyoncé feels when she sing, also because it visualizes her song really good. I don't say I like her song that much, but that it has feelings and emotions behind it, and also that the video makes fucking sense!.

On another note. Linkin Park's song "
Linkin Park – The Catalyst" (spotify link) isn't all that bad. I mean, it is a "wtfisthisshit" to the old-school Linkin Park fans (like myself) who wants to see them produce music that are equal, or even better than the early albums like Linkin Park – Meteora or Linkin Park – Hybrid Theory.

But if you exclude the fact that it's made by Linkin Park, then it's a pretty decent song. It's a weird, WEIRD mix of... I don't know what genres they are but it's not the mix of hip-hop, modern rock, and atmospheric electronica that we're used to anymore... Awh, give back the days where they produced the aggressive rap-rock...

But I guess they want to experiment and I'm going to let them do that. I'm going to give "A Thousand Suns" a fair chance and if I don't like it, then they better go back to their old style ¬¬

Man Down is alright I guess. I like that reggae feel in the beat but the lyrics are just blah. I haven't listened to all the songs on her LP yet...I might check it out on the weekend though.

Best thing about Loud LP; the album cover art. :vbunny

I was gonna comment and say that's not a friggin' vocoder, but I realized there were already about 5000000000000000 comments about that, so... Well, at least the youtubers gave me a pleasant surprise, even though the music industry is just falling further into the abyss.

I just want to drop by and tell you guys how incredible "Rihanna – Love The Way You Lie (Part II)" is. It's one of the best songs I've heard this year without doubt. The lyrics are blowing and the beat is just insanely good. They toned it down a couple of bps from Part I and it was perfect. Also, Rihannas new album "Loud" is pretty beast itself.

Kudos.

Motherf*cking kudos.

Hmm, I don't think the album is that good. Sure, there are few decent tracks and yeah, Love the Way you Lie 2 is quite good. Best part of the song are the last 30sec. :love

Cheers is a nice party song and Man Down super chilling. Other than that its meh..

It's probably the song and my mood that clicks tonight because I think that Part II is way better than Part I at the moment.

I also liked "Fading" and "Skin". Although "What's my name" is horrible.

After listening to the LP a couple more times; the only one that stands out to me is "Fading". Love the intro.

Best Rihanna song out atm is actually a feature on "Who's That Chick" by David Guetta. When I initially heard the track on the radio for the first time (not my number one source of new/latest music btw, just sayin' ;)), I thought it was actually on the LOUD LP lol. Little did I know it was actually a Guetta tune from the start. Seriously though, it's an awesome tune and it hasn't annoyed me yet even though I always press replay whenever that song starts playing on my Zen.

Albums I'm looking forward to upon release:

- Chase & Status ~ No More Idols
- Daft Punk ~ Tron Legacy OST :zomg
- Adele ~ 21

I just realised that Jamiroquai have released their new LP a month ago now! :omg Will definitely check it out asap~ Oh and I'm definitely going to get N.E.R.D's new LP entitled "Nothing". :nod

So have you guys checked out the Grammy Nominees yet? Just thought I'd drop by and share the link, even though I don't really care for many of the categories (I have a hard time anyone cares for them all :p).

I am a classical rock fan that is mainly the stuff I like, however that is not the only thing I listen to of course, I listen to all sorts of music, for me it depends on the performer, but all in all I found that classical rock is the best when it comes to overall rankings.

My favorite bands variate quite a lot, my current favorite one is Pink Floyd, although I almost equally enjoy: Queen, Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Air Supply, Journey, Boston, Nirvana, AC\DC, The Beatles, Guns & Roses, The Rolling Stones, Eagles and many more I am just naming these as they come to mind.

Hello everyone! I hope nobody has posted this question before, but does anyone know if there's a symphony or orchestra playing anime music currently touring in the US or not? Much like Eminence Orchestra in Australia. If you haven't heard of them, I think they're an orchestra group playing songs from various games and animes. I would so love to watch them, but I live in Seattle, US. Here's a youtube clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2VSfb-v-0k

I know there is Video Games Live and PLAY! A Video Game Symphony and both of them play video game music. In fact I just attended Video Games Live last Saturday and it was so awesome. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iycnvtf722Y). So I am wondering if there's a group on tour playing anime music as well.

Note: The youtube clips were not mine.

I've been listening to a lot of GD & TOP lately~

Really recommend their debut album for anyone interested in K-Pop or are fans of the duo from their main group, Big Bang! X3

Just happened to be in a mood for some massive audio destruction, which resulted in a playlist like this:
Metallica - Frantic; Hardstyle Mafia - Walking in the Air; Headhunterz - Scantraxx Roots; The Fall of Troy - FCREMIX; Justice - Waters of Nazareth/Stress; Dope - Die MF Die/Debonaire; Sebastian - Dog/Walkman/Killing in the Name of; D-Block & S-te-fan - Evolution.
