Just got the new As I Lay Dying cd, An Ocean Between Us, and it was a BIG improvement over all of their old albums; by far their best album yet. Their previous metalcore sound has evolved into a more thrash sound and it definitely works for em.

Eh, I've listened to them before. They kinda annoy me, and their fans annoy me, but I do like...three...of their songs, although it makes me feel kinda mainstream and psudeo-punk, which I would rather not feel.

Gogol Bordello is definitely my favorite group. Anyone heard of them? They just released a new album and were on David Letterman, too. They're amazing. Srsly. They describe themselves as 'gipsy punk', and I'd say other than that they're pretty uncategorizable. I'd die to go to one of their shows. *_*

They're better than Limp Bizkit, but then again the sound my washing machine makes when I load it unevenly is better than Limp Bizkit

Personally I prefer Heartland Rock (John Cougar Mellancamp, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty) older rock ( like Zeppelin, Van Halen with David Lee Roth, Blue Oyster Cult, AC/DC, Alice Cooper, ZZ Top). I'm not much into techno, rap or death metal.

My favorite bands constantly change, right now they're Opeth, Ayreon, Radiohead and Porcupine Tree.

I'm delving in electronic, post-metal and extreme progressive, everyday I find new amazing bands, it's pretty exciting :P

Noawadays I prefer Ghost Reveries - it has the ideal"interaction" between clean and growl vocals, in my oinion. BP and SL come right after.

Deliverance, however, has one of my favorite Opeth songs: Master's Apprentices.

The music I listen to ranges from lullabies to rock to alternative to trance.
From the top of my head, if you want someone who is really one of the best at what he does and like guitar music, I would recommend Tommy Emmanuel. He has a life of guitar playing behind him and he does things that seem incredible and creates a nice groove on every one of his songs. I must have over a GB of his songs..

Or you could just go with Apocalyptica.

I listen to mostly rock/punk/alternative, all my friends seem to like the hip-hop genre though. But as they're getting older, they're all gravitating more towards rock apparently. Don't Understand Why.

I listen to all types of musics, but I lean toward classic rock like Triumph, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin, and Rainbow. Right now, I've been listening to bands lately from Europe like The Editors and one of my favorite Mando Diao(I think they're pretty good and there my favorite band right now) In my region, everyone likes rap a whole lot, but honestly I'm not as big as a fan of it.

I do like Alter Bridge's new album and recommend everyone to listen to it.

Two words: One Republic.

I just saw them in concert here on my university campus, and they ROCKED. They are one of the few groups I've ever seen that actually sounds GOOD live! I love their songs. I can't wait for their cd to come out this Tuesday, and they said their next single/music video will be for their song Stop and Stare. I highly recommend them to everyone!
